Question about the LGBT tag

I’m not an expert (idk how you can become an expert in this but-) I think having it as a main genre is for when, like, that stuff is a pretty major theme. Having it as a subgenre is like, when a lot of the characters are lgbt or it’s a minor theme. It’s nice to be looking for something in a genre and then seeing that a bunch of characters are probably lgbt and stuff, y’know?

I moved from Action to LGBTQ+ and nobody's ever got annoyed about it. Most of the cast of my comic is some flavour of LGBTQIA+, I'm a lesbian creator, there will be queer romance later and characters talking about themes, and just generally in tone and aesthetic Errant feels more at home in the same category as Pandora's Devils, Hard Lacqeur and Alien Heart than it does with the popular comics in Action now.

A lot of people who want "action starring queer characters" will look in the LGBTQ+ category, not the action category for it, even though they want something where the main content is an action story. Like imagine if you were looking for something with the vibe of She-Ra, Steven Universe or Owl House; it's a lot easier to find something like that in the LGBTQ+ category than to trawl through the Action or Fantasy category, clicking on things in the hope of finding one with an LGBTQ+ secondary tag.

Hmm so it'd be okay to add it for example in the 10 extra tags if the characters are lgbt? (Like not the main or sub but as a tag indicating it)

Though I think I won't add it until there's something related to it, I wouldn't like people be expecting something that's nowhere to be found until way later x'D

But yess, I would also look in that tag if I want those type of stories as you say! Though yeah, since mine does take a long while, I wouldn't like people being disappointed ú_ù

Oh definitely fine. I don't know how big an effect it'll have, but that's exactly why it'll be fine.
