Question about webtoons

I have been posting on webtoons and have come to the end of my first major arc in the story. Everything at this point could be thought of as a prequel and you don't really need to have read any of it to understand the story that will start in the next arc... but starting with the next arc the story will be continous and not really present an opportunity for a restart like I have right now.

My question is... i have 84 subscribers... not much and have 30 updates. Should I start a new webtoon with this next volume and apply everything I've learned about how webtoons works un until now and maybe even advertise a bit in the hopes of finding more subscribers and some momentum? Or just keep posting the next story where I have been.?

I honestly don't understand why you can't just apply the techniques you've learned in the new arc. Starting over means all your sub count will reset, and chances are it will take some more time for it to build up.
The author of A Matter of Life and Death (Tapas) changed their art style midway through, but the hype is still going.

I'd say just stick with your current webtoons and build off of it. Not much reason to start over other than a clean slate but I don't think that's worth it unless you really want to distance your new work from the old. You can just advertise from your current webtoons instead and get pretty much equal results, I would think.

I don't want to distance it. Its just that when you post a new webcomic you get a lot of exposure that first week which seems to mean a lot. I mean I see lots of webtoons that I feel I am in the same league with getting 600 plus subscribers that first week... which then avalanches to more and more as the continue. I know more about what I should have done those first few weeks now that maybe had I applied back then would have started me off better. Now when I post I get maybe 2 more subscribers each post because after an hour or two after posting i'm buried beneath everyone. Its very frustrating. But if you start out with 600 subscribers then you gain maybe 50 per post you are in a much different situation and its easier to build from that.

its less about what I've learned in terms of creating pages about the comic and more what I've learned about how to POST on webtoons to maximize who sees your post.

I´d actually say start a new one. The exposure thing is right, and also, if you start the new volume in your old "post", people will go back to start at the first episode which might throw them off, then (not saying it will, since I have seen nothing of your Webtoon). 85 subs is indeed not a lot for a Webtoon Comic, and thoose faithfull readers will follow you to the next Volume anyways if you link it often enough

i would absolutely apply what you’ve learned in the new arc. deleting the original or rebooting it even without deleting it will not appeal to your current subscribers. Whoever your current ones are will be erased once you delete it.

plus building off of what you already have will pick the story up as a whole and hopefully attract more attention to it.

I think they don´t want to delete/reboot the old one, just start a new one for the next volume. If I´m wrong tough, I would agree with you.
