One of the things I do when creating a chapter is pay attention to the framing and the positioning of the characters.
For example, characters that try to control Corrine are most often then not placed to her right side right while characters that respect Corrine right to choose are placed to her left.
In western media, going left to right is often used as a subconscious shorthand to indicate the good guy is making progress, or moving forward. Additionally, when villains appear they appear to screen right to metaphorically and literally block the protagonist's path.
I try to use some of those narrative shorthand, to aid in the story telling.
Alex on the right dominating the screen space(In the final version, I also place the text bubble right over Corrine's head, thus making it appears as if she's completely boxed in by Alex.)

Nives on the left at around the same level as Corrine(At least I tried making Nives at the same level. It's kinda hard since she's so tall).
