Questions about making a webcomic here with nudity

I am interested in starting a web comic on Tapas. I read that Tapas allows more freedom for nude and adult-themed content compared to Webtoon. Can you share your experiences as a webcomic creator on this platform? How are the censorship regulations here?

Hi, while Tapas allows some nudity (As long the page also includes a proper content warning) it does not allow frontal nudity.

I learned this the hard way when I uploaded a nsfw fanart once, and got one of my comics blocked for a while until I removed it.

Frontal nudity needs to be censored and marked with the Mature tag. Butts are ok.
Any hair trailing from the belly button down should also be censored as the app stores consider that pubic hair.

Tapas does actually allow full frontal nudity, but only very sparsely, and if it's not sexual in nature. I myself have a few pages with characters totally in their birthday suits, no censorship, junk hanging, tits out, it's still around. Even asked the staff about it ages ago, when the site wasn't so massive, and they didn't have an issue as long as I used the 'mature' tag for those pages. That being said, there's a chance they wouldn't be so chill now but just haven't been informed of it? Who knows, I've share it on the Tapas Discord server and everything, openly warning about nudity. I assume they know the comic is on their site, it's been there since 2016. Lol

The downside is your comic would be desktop exclusive, meaning people who use the app wouldn't be able to see it. This is something I'm personally fine with since my comic is 17+, I don't really want children to read it, and adults are more likely to use the desktop version than kids.

Mine is a 14+ rating due to blood, non sexual partial nudity, violence and some language.
PG on here, censored version and I still have the M rating set for PG.
So on Tapas and Webtoons I creatively censor mine. It has partial, upper non sexual frontal nudity. So I use shadows or solid black outs. I even censor blood into white or black blobs, or box it out together.
How I censor it on Tapas seems to be fine so far.
No trolls and haters flagging me for no reason like on Webtoon.

I host it uncensored on Comic Fury, they allow anything legal.

Private parts for men and women should be censored. As for sexual content, a lot of that scene has to be censored.

If your comic contains nudity or adult themes, you'll likely need to mark it as "Mature." This restricts access to adult users only.
Tapas might review your comic before it goes live, especially if it pushes boundaries. Be prepared for potential moderation and communication.
Since your comic will be restricted, reaching a wide audience might be slower compared to all-ages content.
