Questions about publishing adult content

Are there any pages like Tapas who accept 18+ content which are not
porn pages?

Has anyone of you uploaded their adult content to Tapas and just censored
it yourself. How did you do that? Black out pages? Leave out episodes?
Or just censor single words? I think the single word censoring probably wouldn´t work
in my case because you can still regocnise it as sexual content
Is Tapas even the right platform for this?

I´m writing a novel in separated episodes and it would be easy to just not
upload the adult episodes, I probably would have to write new ones to fill the gaps though

Novels actually seem to have a lot more leeway than comics in terms of adult content. As an example, my partner creates a novel on Tapas called Bard Romance:

Most of the content in this story is pretty standard and suitable for all-ages, but there are chapters (the ones marked mature) with some pretty spicy sex scenes.

Tapas has been happy enough with this novel to not flag it at all, and has featured it twice so... it seems to be okay!

It made me laugh already, one of the main characters in my novel is called Julia too and the first name
I read is Julia. One of my favourite names

Hahaha! My partner is currently rewriting it actually and has felt a bit more empowered to give the characters South Asian names reflecting their heritage, so I'm having to get used to calling Julia her new name, Jamila.

It's a fun novel inspired by a D&D game I was Dungeon Master for. Eliza Jenkins was my partner's character in the game. I accidentally made Julia autistic by the way I performed that character and has her behave and my partner just stuck with it. You'll actually come across my D&D player character in the story, Hermia Pendragon, the Violet Mage of the Sundered Tower- she really is that obnoxious!

For novels more leeway in general. More along the rules of, you have to have a plot and context you'll be fine. You cant have a whole series just spicy episodes only, you gotta have some plot. In terms of content, personally I and many others have gotten away with alot but it does lower your chances of being featured. But once again I know bard romance, and kiss it better (before the spice was put to patreon) got featured several times.
