Patience. It's only been 12 days since submissions ended and they have over 200 submissions to read through and make a choice on.

I do wonder, though, how long we will have to read over the contracts if they plans on announcing the participants in August...

Previous participants said they were able to have a lawyer look the contract over, I believe. Obviously don't sign anything that you aren't comfortable with, but if you're diligent you can probably get through things in a timely manner.

Hi everyone!

Dropping in to say that we really appreciate your patience and winners and runners-up should be hearing from us soon. As you can imagine, we received a ton of submissions on the last day, so we've been spending the last few weeks looking at each one very carefully.

I do wonder, though, how long we will have to read over the contracts if they plans on announcing the participants in August...

@Saajing We definitely won't make any announcements until contracts are signed, even if we need to push the announcement date back (though hopefully it won't come to that!) Creators will have ample time to look over their contracts.

A thought just popped into my head:
If a proposal doesn't get picked, will it be possible to reach out to the staff to ask how the pitch can be improved upon for a possible reupload in during the next session?

Just wondering if you guys have started to let creators know if they are in or not. , or are ou guys still deciding?

I doubt they'll be able to provide answers/feedback with so many entries ( I think they said around 200?).

But yeah, it would be super nice if they could reply with feedback- is more art needed? was the story summary too slow? was it perfect but it just needs to be resubmitted in the winter because too much competition? etc. All stuff I'd be curious to know if I didn't get accepted.

Every time I see an email from tapas, I get heart palpitations thinking it's for incubator (it raced embarrassingly quick when I got this notification), haha. But I was specifically asking if the participants can contact the staff for feedback rather than the other way around (I know it'd be asking a lot for them to contact us).

Hahaha, I'm so sorry my notification raised your hopes. I too am watching my inbox like a hawk. Yeah, I meant even if participants were allowed to do so- because there's so many it'll be hard on Tapas staff. Even if they answered 50/100 then people might get upset they didn't get an answer when others did.

That said, unless they specify otherwise, I'll prob still shoot them an email. Don't know til you try right?

So thats like only a week left till August, I am assuming they already picked and notified the winners. Next time better luck maybe!

Have the announcements for the submissions last month been posted somewhere I'm not aware of? I'm so excited to hear who the winners are
Also, is it winners? or is it just one person this time around?

thanks for the great opportunity, Tap! looking forward to hearing more about how this round went!

They'll announce winners in august.

But with 4 days left I think people who haven't heard anything didn't make it? Is it safe to post our new comics online yet?

Does anyone know when the next incubator program will be announced?

They said it would have another submission opening in the winter so I'm predicting late november/mid-December.
