Hi everyone

It’s a sad day in the animation world.
Beloved creator of Dragonball, Dr.Slump and so much more has passed away.
Mr. Toriyama made my childhood so much fun and his work sparked my tremendous love and appreciation for anime and manga. It’s because of him that I aspire to be a creator and I will not rest until I see my creation become animated one day.
Because Dragonball is my favorite show and favorite anime of all time, join me and share your favorite DB moment!
R.I.P to the G.O.A.T

I didnt really become a Dragonball watcher until in 2014-2015 on a replay of DBZ on Toonami(though I did watch some of the Kid Buu episodes in the early 2000s) but yeah everywhere I looked the manga & anime influenced a lot of younger artists...I can admit I loved the fights on the show- a lot of that was DOPE as hell.

And Goku is a universally known character

This hit hard when you grew up with things like Dragon Ball Z, and Chrono Trigger. Just lately I am playing Dragon Quest, in part because Toriyama-san worked in it (I am in VI already, and trying to find a way to play 'Terry's Wonderland' on Citra xd).
He had so much more to accomplish besides his already great work. No matter the age, his parting feels like it was too soon.

I am deeply saddened. He literally changed my life.
I will NEVER forget the feeling of rushing home from school to watch the new episode of Dragonball Z and then going to school the next day to talk about it with my friends. I’ve met so many amazing people because of the world he created. This really hurts.

Just the first episode by itself had me hooked and compelled to watch the rest of the series, I saw the first episode of Dragonball Z on Toonami when I was 7 years old (7 Dragon Balls)

dragon ball z was one of the first animes i ever seen, such a legendary show that had a lot of epic scenes and cool characters, akira toriyama will be well missed by millions who enjoyed all the work he had put out

Very aweome guy met him at an anime convention way back when the series was new. He was one of the great ones learned a lot from watching DBZ back in the day it was one of my insparation learning of drawing manga/anime I've been over the years. Project A-ko was another one that got me inspired to draw such an awesome style and art form. Thank you Akira for the best fun packed anime and manga for fans around the world.
