I always try to not be too loud in public. I just stubbed my toe and I don't think I need to bring people's attention because of that. xD

Hm... honestly, I likely swear quietly but very viciously. Then add something like "sorry for str*ng language" if anybody noticed

Start up a relentless internal monologue of swear words and curses, while people wonder why I have a slightly scary smile on my face. Never was that good at faking facial expressions, so I end up grinning like the Joker for all of about thirty seconds.

It eases the pain and give impression that you are strong even when you are silently crying inside
