Oh, I wish I could rant about them, just wanna smack the shit-head so hard that I make the moon reverse orbit. Then would proceed to run cause there's no way am I waiting for their reaction.
Though for now, the most annoying character I have right now is Kiorif, he's just such a dick. But at the same time the sigma energy off of him, he's gonna go far.
Hopefully you'll get to meet him soon. I currently have a few days off from work, so I'm trying to smash through to the midway point of this season so I have a backlog. Once the full manuscript is complete, I'll probably be switching up my update schedule to release twice a week after everything is edited and posted ahead of time to patreon. Then..... sigh. It'll be time to start working on season 3.
ive spent the entire first half of season 1 building up how the central character is kinda off the rails and very unnecessarily sadistic. it was GREAT because i like writing characters with the sole purpose of making everyone very uncomfortable. but now that i've established that he's the absolute worst, i have to spend awhile doing damage control on all the havoc i wreaked on his character. because he's still a prOtaGoniSt or whatever and i need people to ultimately end up being really attached to him and like him
but he's also one of the main villains and he's where a good part of the fear factor in my HORROR webcomic comes from. oops. so i still have to keep doing that first part
so he went from being the most fun character to write to the HARDEST character to write and now i am here like what even IS this script what am i doing with my life lmaooo T-T i hate this man i want to write him out
I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT THO ahahhaha i like that trope-
yea see i feel that kinda,, because i just can't go for very long without including a shirtless guy in my art and unfortunately this burden fell on him, multiple times, not because i'm into him or anything i just FELT LIKE IT, and now it's even more uncomfortable for everyone involved especially me
For me it's a close tie between Derek and Georgy. (Nick is horrible too, but he's not very redeemable.)
I love to hate and hate to love Derek because he's extremely noisy and loves pushing his friends in certain directions if he thinks that's best for them. He also loves rumours. The reason I love him for it is because he usually does it in a very snarky way and in a wat that's well-intentioned usually. Sometimes he goes too far though.
Also love/hate georgy because he's a blunt hothead. Personally I'm a very nuanced person and don't easily get offended which is why I could never be friends with a person like Georgy, but he's awesome to write.
xD Probably one of the Twin deities in my book Rudo! The best way to describe him is that, he's like that one fake friend in a way. They promise to do everything and anything for you, acting friendly and what-not towards you but, when the final hour comes for them to be/act like a true friend? They absolutely BAIL.
Rudo promises my MC to get him back home to his family. Simply take care of his Empire while he goes off to romance a human woman he's interested in, well...newsflash, he tells his sister about his crush and she's not too happy about it. Resulting in him receiving punishment and being banned from seeing her.
Instead of trying to find a way to uphold his end of the deal to the MC (It was his fault for telling his sister after all, he didn't have to tell her!!). He just says "Lol, sorry, can't help you." and just leaves my book's MC all to his own whims to try and figure out how to get back home himself!!
His name is Stephen Rose, an entitled narcissist who flirts with other women and cheats on his girlfriend, Violette, while simultaneously accusing her of messing around with other guys (she never has, but cheaters always project their behavior onto other people). Steve's a minor character in my first book, but I have plans for him in later novels where his douchebagery revs up to a 100%.
I don't think I have a single character in my novel that I hate (provided we don't count characters that are just 1 chapter and then gone as they usually have less personality). I tend to give every character that has line some sort of background, even if I only keep it to myself. It helps me humanize them and find a proper voice for them.
Characters that appear more than once will usually have long and detailed reasons why the act the way they do and I can hardly blame them for it, so it becomes hard to rant about them... Even the villains at their most disgusting and terrible moments I can empathize with.
I do have things I can say about everyone, especially the protags.
Like Vernon could seriously use a shake every now and then to help him stop being so paranoid.
Azreth could definetly afford to shut up sometimes as he is prone to saying really mean things.
Grey has to stop pretending he is not a part of things... And drinking.
But still, these are traits to explore in the story, so in a way, you can find my rants about my characters in my other characters, and vice-versa xD
