Season 1 Summary
In a distant past, an ancient meteor drifted silently through Earth’s orbit.
No one knew of its existence—
until one night, when another celestial body struck it.
The collision shattered the meteor into fragments,
and those fragments rained down across the world.
One of them struck a young boy named Eren,
living in a quiet, ordinary town.
That moment granted Eren three extraordinary abilities:
The power to sense the emotions and thoughts of others,
The ability to absorb and neutralize those emotions within himself,
And an instinctive sense for the location of the other fragments.
But the true change didn’t begin with Eren alone—
it began with the entire world.
For three days after the meteor’s explosion,
a green mist cloaked the Earth.
The mist reached deep into human consciousness.
Some were driven to the brink of madness,
while others had their minds and souls transformed beyond recognition.
When the mist finally faded,
the world was no longer familiar.
Returning to his town, Eren found his mother… changed.
With the meteor shard once given to her by Eren’s father,
she had hypnotized the townspeople and turned the village into her own kingdom.
She ordered Eren to kneel before her.
But Eren’s empathy—now stronger than any chain—shattered her control.
Infuriated, she commanded his execution.
At that darkest moment,
Eren’s grandfather gave his life to save him.
With his dying breath, he whispered a single word:
“Go to Arzan…”
So Eren set out toward the capital,
accompanied by his loyal companions.
On the journey, they came across a man who had lost all vitality to the mist.
When Eren tried to help him,
he accidentally absorbed the man's remaining emotions—
leaving behind nothing but an empty shell.
That moment taught Eren the heavy price of his power.
Awaiting him in the capital was his uncle, Arzan,
head of the Great Library.
And Arzan revealed the great truth:
“The body belongs to the Earth…
But the soul—emotion, awareness—was a cosmic gift from the meteor.
And that gift… is fading.”
Now, newborns enter the world with no feelings,
no spark within.
Humanity is on the verge of losing not its body—
but its spirit.
And now, under the weight of this truth,
Eren and his friends must choose:
*If emotions are what make us human…
Then how can humanity survive without them?*
The answer awaits in Season 2.
