Ream or Patreon?

I am looking to expand my brand. I'm looking at either Patreon or Ream. I am a writer and am looking for other writers' experiences with both platforms. What are the pros and cons of each?

*For those who don't know - Ream is like Patreon except specifically for writers.

I would say you'd have more reach with Patreon since everyone is familiar with that platform and know what to expect. (I hadn't heard of Ream until your post)

But it wouldn't hurt to set up a Ream too should it expand its notoriety.

I have a Patreon myself and it does well in scheduling and organizing posts. Plus it allows nsfw material which is rare nowadays.

Good idea. Ream looks to be okay, they allowed NSFW content as long as it's between consenting adults per the TOS, but the only writers I've heard use it are write romance/erotica. Who knows what the audience is like there.

Yeah patron is way better as a writter after reading many TOS. You could even be an adult content creator but the main advantage of patron is not worrying about blood, some gore, and other stuff unlike lets say ko-fi. Plus patron is pretty well tested by many users. I have no experience with Ream so I can't say anything about it.

I wish I could Patroen for my 14+ and NSFW content. But here in Canada only option for payout is Paypal and if they find out, they ban and close your Paypal account. Some countries allow for direct deposit so its more do-able.
