oh true, I wonder what kind of celebration I should do

But at least its not exact, my sweater dress is all my own although and it is pretty old- it's from when I was in college! But I have worn other people's oversized sweaters as dresses before, because I am just that short too lol usually I have to wear leggings though because its just a tad too short to be considered a normal dress.

College can't be that long ago since you said you're still in your twenties right? But yeah, Alicia has a bad habit of taking her boyfriend's clothes and never returning them. He should complain more but he doesn't lol

Usually when I reach an artistic milestone I go to my favorite restaurant, but you could do anything really You could even make an event here on the forums, but even something simple like buying a fancy coffee or something can help mark the milestone. I try to acknowledge my successes or achievements however I can now, because I have a tendency to downplay them

I feel like it's been a long while! I went to college last when i was 22, now I'm 28!! (Birthday just passed a while ago) But also time feels super long for me, I have a weird time distortion because I feel like I've lived for millennia in just 6 years

@abigaillmartin Oooh I got you, yeah I wish I had my old old art from when I was a kid too! I only have one sketchbook from when I was 8 and I treasure that little thing, but man, I wish I had more drawings from when I was little. I find it really fun to look back at old childhood art I wish I had my middle school and high school stuff too that's pretty much gone, I only have a few remnants

Oh I know, I was just realizing lol. coffee is big here so there is a local coffee shop that's pretty nice. But I'm more of a tea person anyway. Also just realized when you mentioned your birthday I forgot to comment, you're also the exact same age as Alicia. Don't share a b'day tho, probably

I'm really happy with my improvement, each piece is pretty different compositionally but the second iteration was made specifically because I liked the idea, but the composition sucked ass, the most current version def has the strongest composition and anatomy, but it's lacking in polish, maybe in my next version I'll render it more carefully - I also think its funny that each version gradually got a cooler colour pallete. I like all the peices but I feel I'm always closing to conveying Qam and Rahat's whole vibe. Rahat sees the stars and Qamar sees them.

Yeah usually there’s no themed restaurants here either, the owner just REALLY loves aliens I love going there to write or draw though, it’s actually calm despite all the ufo decorations

lol yes I actually love it though, I’m slightly terrified by aliens, especially the Greys but also I am very into the lore people have built around it despite the mild phobia and SAME I love fairies, I’ve been a fan of anything Fae since I was a kid!

idk what the grays are lol, but some aliens can be pretty spooky. I was never allowed to watch almost anything with fairies as a kid so I ended up creating my own fairy lore for my stories, and it actually inspired a story about a woman who's mother was against her being a fairy (the one I told you some people thought was horror.) So my obsession has paid off a bit, my first published spec fic piece was about fairies

Oh the Greys are those well, gray aliens, the classic bug eyed little guys I don’t think they’re real but the certainly creep me out for some reason, the cutesy art of them doesn’t but like those spooky hyper realistic mean looking ones chill me to my core 🥲

Ah mood, my mom was very religious growing up, she wouldn’t even let me watch Casper the Ghost but it didn’t stop me from making up my own ghost lore either! Or fairy lore too in this case.

Spooky things aren't for me, so I'm still not bothered by that, I have a low tolerance for scary, though for some reason some of my stories are rather psych-thrillerish. But we both have religious mothers I guess, so yeah, it definitely affected what I was allowed to watch and that affected my writing. I think it's had an interesting influence throughout my writing though, so as frustrating as it was to me it's not all a loss.
