Im really-really so sad that this is happening. This censoring trend is far more dangerous than we think. What Apple and Google are doing, they're banning certain very important points of global cultural discourse out. Completely, which can have a serious drawback on people's mental health. Just a small personal example: I
m a queer person, who's experienced LOTS of violence during childhood and my adolescent years, and as a result I've put myself through years of various addictions. My creative works (my novels and my comic) have helped me process this experience, reflect on it and draw conclusions. AND HEAL! Moreover, these works have helped some other people who read them, because violence exists, sex exist, ALL MAJOR ADULT THEMES DO EXIST IN OUR WORLD! And what those big corps are doing, they're basically forbidding us to have adult discussions on those topics. This is serious. It's a huge step to Orwell's "1984", I`m telling you, and if we don't find any way of fighting back, we're fucked. Our mental health is fucked, and the furute generations won't even notice this. They'll live completely under the corp's regime. If that's the future we want, we can relax, sit back and watch our FREEDOM OF THOUGHT being taken from us, as we breathe caplmly and try to accept the new world order.
Or...
We can fight back.
For starters, I suggest organizing some kind of advertising campaigns to make up for all those readers lost because of these stupid guidelines. For example, we can open recommendation topics on this forum with links to some unlisted but cool works, self-presentation included,
or
we can start a mailing list of recomendations (I've got no ideas how to do it, but maybe someone here knows how and shows us some insight into it?) and post a subscription link to this thread or to some special thread of promoting unlisted series?
There has to be a joint way of fighting back for our creative freedom. I don't want to live in a sterile world with my mouth tightly shut by the corps. Do you?
