Rewriting and adapting my comic... as a novel

ok so I have a comic, it's been long ago since I started, I'm not really happy with how I wrote the first few chapters, so I wanna make those over, but I don't wanna redraw them, so, besides as a practice for writing, I want to make a literature adaptation of my comic, both to sort of fix the story without erasing my past work, and as a way to reach readers who are into novels rather than comics, how does that sound?

This is honestly something I'm still tempted to do with one of my older short story concepts. It can be a fun exercise in building and improving your writing skills and also present the narrative in a different way. it might not have visuals unless you toss in illustrations, at your own discretion of course, but it's definitely something I've seen folks do whether it's to make managing the scope of a project easier or just trying something different in general

Since my comic's publication, I also wanted to adapt it into a novel too. But my editor says it's actually better as a comic, the reason is that 1) comics gets more tractions and 2) the story was already structured around visuals and I suck at writing novels.

I mean, I have been reading slightly more novels thanks to my comic, but because of those two reasons, I've decided to turn my other stories into novels instead. Especially since I can't turn every story I write into a comic. Haven't publish them yet, but someday I will when I'm ready.

We're totally doing the opposite. I write my story first before the comics.

So in case of plot inconsistencies, issues, changes, and foreshadowing, I just have to revise the novel instead of taking down comic panels, fixing tons of illustrations, or taking them out entirely.

In my oppinion it depends on the story itself. For example in my case - the first version of the sotry was more like a script because I didn´t know what to do with it. I tried to imagine it as a comic/manga and... when I took into accout how many panels would it require considering the story is heavy on conversations, emotions and motions - nope! Not a chance! A novel it is, no other choice
