Hello everyone!
Maybe you remember our previous post about the Ringo Awards, but in case you don’t here is a quick rundown on the Ringo Awards!
The Ringo Awards are an annual award for achievement in comics across a variety of categories, which you can read more about on the site. The nomination process relies heavily on popular voting, with almost all of the category finalists being determined by either popular vote or a combination of popular vote and jury selections. The voting ballot is a write-in ballot, so fans just need to go to the website and write in their picks for each category.
While our Tapas team focused heavily on submissions in the ‘Popular’ categories, which are voted for by fans and the results have not yet been published, we’re so excited that one of our creators received three nominations in their ‘Best’ categories!
Best Humor Comic: Fangs, Tapas
Best Cartoonist: Sarah Andersen
Best Comic Strip or Panel: Sarah’s Scribbles, Sarah Andersen, Andrews McMeel Universal
We’re so happy for Sarah’s continued success and her nominations! If you’re more interested in Sarah’s work, we recently published an interview with the artist!
Do you want to vote for the ‘Best’ categories at the Ringo Awards?
If you have a professional credit on a comic series as a writer, penciller, inker, colorist, letterer or editor, you’re allowed to vote! Go to https://ringoawards.com and vote for your favorites!
Creative Comics Community Voting is open until September 23, 2020.
We will find out the winners of the ‘Best’ and ‘Favorite’ categories at the end of October. Until then, have fun voting!
