Outside Jules follows a gender-bendy tot with a vivid imagination as they find themself on an adventure in the world of the small. Jules is tasked in defending a bustling town of critters from being leveled and converted into a poo-poo play park for the coprophiles. Will Jules and friends save the day, or will they end up in deep doo doo?

This story is largely inspired by my two children and their antics, as well as my reflections on myself as a child. The process of writing and illustrating this book has allowed me to reconnect with fun and the activities and things I enjoyed as a kid, and has made me a little more likable to my kids too I 'spose.
When I was young I didn't allow myself to look at the feelings I had related to my gender and sexuality, and I didn't see representatives in the media that captured my experience. I have always wanted to write and illustrate a story centering a gender fluid character, and that only be a property of their character, and their story can be separate from their gender like most of the other stories. So that's what you get, and don't throw a fit.
