Helloo everybody~~
Fantasy YA author here! and It's my first time attempting to write a whole complete story from beginning to end — whispers
, not just cool little snippets here and there like im used to doing — so I'm actually really excited to write and share my first original project with anybody who falls across this post!
Personally, I'd love to connect and make friends with fellow creators like me, where I hope for people to enjoy and follow along in my storytelling journey (possibly aim for 100 subs & likes) as I would try and follow along with them! (Im seeing some really nice stories/comics in this thread, wow)
Violet Sparks — Sypnosis!
“They say magical abilities manifests within young people at vital times of danger and pleading earnest.
They say when that moment comes, time slows down to the tee, their rabidly beating heart thumps loudly within their eardrums and the temperature suddenly drops to deadly degrees
Maybe this was a natural occurrence to help save good people from bad circumstances, but who's to say good people continue being okay right afterwards?"
[ This Fantasy YA Novel revolves around an oddly mysterious Canadian boy and a curiously down to earth Korean-Canadian girl learn to become each other's buddies in their sophomore year of highschool, where together they would unravel each other's invaluable secrets with the most precious one of them being the strange manifestation of abilities they've both just so happen to acquire within themselves...
...but their peaceful encounters gets cut short as they clash in violet encounters with a notorious bully of the past. ]
Genres: Fantasy, YA, Thriller
Reasons to read: Immigrant/Mixed ethnicity protagonist being used, as to bring more representation of them taking the lead in English novels. The perfect mixture between not-too-friendly and not-too-mature content for a YA novel! (as compared to the kinds of books I've seen being currently available to us)
Hope to hear and possibly meet as many of you all soon, ThankYou!
Little Snippet of my story before I leave:
“You seem to know this place quite well,” I asses, peering at the mounted haul held within his arms, “would you mind then directing me to where the ice cream section is located here? I’m sort of a newbie, you see, todays actually my first day in the neighborhood.”
We reached the cash register, where a kind looking old lady sat on a perched chair with her silver hair slicked back in a neat little bun, awaiting her next round customers.
Hugo carefully plopped each of his items on the counter for the lady to start scanning, then turned to intently look me in the eyes with his deep brown orbs that seemed to be concealed in many layers of shrouded mysteries.
It felt like there were loaded with things this boy tightly held guard as if his life depended on it; so many raging emotions swirling around in those small pools of his, yet at the same time, there were devoid of any at all.
Hugo quickly diverts his eyes away from me and lifts one of his hands to point somewhere behind me.
“Ice cream is to the right of the counter, right there.” He simply informs.
