Hello! I'm a first-time novel poster on Tapas participating in the Action Fantasy Tourney with ANIMA REX, and would love to reach the floor of 25 subs if possible. Giving my work a gander, like, comment would also really help me out! It's a story about the long-reaching effects of incalculable greed, the ways in which people try to fix their utterly ruinous mistakes, and weird magic treated more like science than anything else. Also the vehicles are pulled by metal magic beasts and the MC is some odd mix of FFX's Yuna, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Bayonetta.

Synopsis:
What Nemira wants is plenty of time to read and to further her studies of the Firmament and its strange aetherian residents. What she does is act on behalf of a shadowy employer as the Grim Summoner, cleaning up supernatural incidents for the sake of the city-state of Coine very few other people can handle. What she hides is the fact that she knows more about the legend of Anima Rex and its tomb inside the infamous Tyrant’s Necropolis than anyone else alive. She just can’t remember any of the details. Yet.
Goaded by the Council that pushes her closer toward the Necropolis with every mission, protected by a knightly nephilim that clearly has an agenda of his own, and surrounded on all sides by greedy factions who would happily tear her to shreds if it meant acquiring even a hint of information on Anima Rex, Nemira finds her dream of living life as an arcane scholar more impossible than ever. Instead, she stands in the center of a city-wide race for a power that should never be wielded with only one option: rip through the fog of her memories and reach Anima Rex first before someone much, much worse gets their hands on it.
