These are old names. You need to review the more recent forum guidelines for the correct mod list.
I would like to clear this up. I do not receive payment for being the moderator on this forum, which allows me to stay more neutral and not immediately side with Tapas if topics arise that may be questionable. I'm here purely because I enjoy being here (the rare rude people aside) and am in no way obligated to do anything.
For transparency: I have a comic under contract with Tapastic and receive revenue for that.
The other mods are Tapas Employees.
I don't really know which discord servers are being talked about, but I would never try to start following people through the web incognito for the sole reason on listening on conversations I'm not part of. This kind of behavior would be out of the line, harassment on my part and also kind of creepy.
The person you speak of wasn't banned because of the art level thread, but because of other rude behavior that was unacceptable. We usually don't ban for someone being difficult in one single thread.
Marius, I'm also in my 30s, even though I sometimes feel like a grandmother here. Additionally, I've been on this forum for many years.
You will never have a forum where everyone is always nice and fun. That's impossible. You will interact with people having varying opinions that will challenge those around them. You will meet people who had a bad day and hit 'send' on a message they really shouldn't have written. You will deal with kids who you would never be friends with in real life, because they are either too young or simply not the type of character you enjoy to be around.
There are very few people that are still active on this forum who have been here for years. I expect that in a few months many of you who are active now won't be anymore. New creators will join. They will say "wow, everyone is so nice here" for a while. Then, eventually, they will complain that no, people are actually not nice. They either start arguing with other people out of frustration or they stop coming to the forum.
This is a very normal cycle and I've seen it many times in the last few years.
And because of that I keep repeating myself as well:
Don't forget that this is a Tapas forum - a platform that hosts comics and novels. You get some great information here and you can meet nice people. But try not to take it too seriously - enjoy yourself and take a break if things become too annoying.
