I checked out RoyalRoad (only their rules and some faq) so can you please tell me any experience with them? Bad and good please. Im pretty sure i will join RoyalRoad and update there as well as here,but i want to know as much as i can before doing so.

I've had a nice experience there. Though bear in mind that is common for some readers to give you the lowest rating. I have six 5 stars, two 0.5 stars, and one 1 star. And my only patreon uses royalroad.
The forum can be helpful, but for me this forum is better. They have many obsolete advice because they focus on making you "successful", but sometimes they give great advice.

They love some hardcore neckbeard lit rpg (specially the very western ones, as A Song of Fire and Ice vibe), and read a looooooot. Usually the aren't very fond of romance, BL, or even Eastern novel style (Wuxia, Xianxia and JLight Novel), and they might be very vocal about it. Gramatical/spelling errors, inconsistencies or too much 'filler' might get you laying down on a guillotine.

Best part is that, if you intend to self publish through Patreon, they seem to be quite prone to offer their support, specially if you have like 50 chapters stockpiled.

If you write a long western epic litrpg and has a 9 inch thickness skin, I def suggest you give it a try.

Through the whole course of posting my story there I only managed to get 30-something readers. Then again I never visited the forum there to promote my story and it has themes of romance so … guess I was doomed to fail there? ¯l_(ツ)_/¯

ratings seem kinda mean, like i get it that you didn't like it as much but half star rating? Seems like strategy to bring down your average rating

oh my story has romance as sub-genre, it isn't as major as fantasy and drama but it plays quite a big part ... Also to be honest i don't really have thick skin

Some people do that, but if you suspect that's the case, you can report it. They'll look into it and determine if a single person is manipulating your rating.
