Rules regarding crossposting a novel into tapas, and tapas novels in general

Hello, I was wondering if there were any specific rules regarding cross posting a novel already available in other sites onto tapas? Also if there are any restrictions to patreon if I have patreon to access advanced chapters.

My story gets quite dark at some points, and I was considering whether crossposting into tapas would be worth doing, since it's already rather long and it would take some time to catch up. I've considered Wattpad, but from what I hear it's impossible to gain any traction without already knowing big authors there.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

And this: no. Tapas is nowhere near as crazy as webnovel. Feel free to advertise your patreon here as much as you like.

No reason not to try and have your novel on as many platforms as you can manage. Cast a wider net and all. Per 'dark stuff' it would help if you clarified what the content is. Sometimes you need a mature tag, sometimes not, sometimes it's courtesy to put a content warning for readers, etc.

I see. And how successful do you think tapas novels are in terms of patreon/the tapas currency thing? Would readers pay for 6 chapters ahead?

It depends on your story.

Premium titles certainly have an audience willing to pay to unlock episodes and support the creator on Patreon.

While it's a steeper hill to climb for non-premium series, free-content creators can definitely find success with readers willing to tip them ink and sign up for their Patreons as well. The trick is to find your audience, since you won't have the level of marketing premium series get.

I tried looking through the novels section, but I couldn't really find anyone with a patreon

I suppose a lot of novelists don't have one as they aren't exactly sure what to offer.
But if you have a Patreon, there's no reason not to promote it.

I have one but it's dedicated to my work as a whole and I do comics as well.
