You write mostly in the men's/shonen action genre though!
My current project is a fantasy adventure romance. I have always enjoyed slow-revealing mysteries and fantasy stories. I also really love certain kinds of non-smut romance stories.
In my case, I am trying to see if I can fix a few things that often bother me about the subgenres I'm in - I want a magic system to be magical rather than just fantasy science, I'd like a fox-spirit romance that deals with him being a fox and a trickster rather than just an ancient powerful love interest like vampires or demon lords, but this time with fox ears instead of fangs or horns. I love when stories delve into little-known folklore, and I rarely see a story that treats the residents of the U.S. hinterland with respect. And I hate JJ-Abrams style empty mystery box stories, too! There are other subversions that I have used or intend to use, too.
Basically, Etherwood is a way for me to put as many things I like together in one story as I can, with as few drawbacks as I can manage. I'm just hoping other people enjoy it, too.
