Hello again. I did this post a while back and I got suggested to provide proper introduction and some knowledge before I start with the story.
Name's Hayka, and I've been writing for a couple years (I used to write a yuri mystery novel on Wattpad but deleted it because of personal reasons) and I recently started again under the name Hayka.
My novel (Show Me) received some nice recognition despite being in the Mystery category (it's not as crowded over there). I do have a fanbase on Telegram (I'm pretty popular with eastern people and different telegram channels, each with 1k members), and I have a bunch of projects I wanna work on, one of which is the one I want to pitch here for anyone who's interested.
Here's a synopsis for Hunters
The Otherside (also known as the Kanata) has always been home to oddities. Thanks to the almost impenetrable border between our world and the Kanata, the incidents where the two sides collide have rarely been witnessed throughout the history; but when it happened, many people started believing in its existence. If you do a quick search on the internet, you’ll know about the disappearance of David Lang, and several other incidents linked to the paranormal, and the Kanata. A decade ago, due to unknown reasons, the border between reality and the Otherside almost vanished for 39 hours. Because of this, anomalies, sacred beings, gods, demons, monsters, curses and blessings, oddities, and eccentric events passed the bridge to our side. Humanity struggled to survive against them.
Six years after that, humans evolved from mob groups with no clue as to what they're doing, to sophisticated agencies with their own researchers and protocols. Ever since Hunter Agencies were created, their members have been known as heroes. Although, that is simply a wrong assumption. People will rarely endanger their most precious belonging, their life, for something as puny as humanity. Heroism is a lie. Nobody in their right mind would suffer to make the lives of others easier; and those that do so, having gained nothing for themselves, will perish. The hunters are basically in it for the money, and nothing more. Sure, there might be deranged individuals among them who seek death and the thrill of adventure, but money is what motivates most of them. That being said, you can’t NOT treat hunters as heroes. They do what they do, and they are good at it. They’d be losing contracts and customers left and right if they weren’t.
The story follows Blake and Melany as they investigate different cases with monsters and events. Blake tries his hardest to get the job done, having no idea that the odd, skillful girl that accompanies him, and has fallen for him, can barely hide her tail and wings.
Melany is a Shadow Demon, and a residence of Kanata itself.
I'm looking for a Manga artist to help me visualize this story, black&white or colored. The story has different CASES, starting with Case#79, each case has multiple chapters, ranging from 4-10 (maybe more in final arcs, or introduction arcs). I still haven't decided on how many panels per chapter we'll need, and I'm okay with manhwa style paneling and also Japanese manga style paneling (each page having multiple panels)
The story takes place in the modern world with some supernatural events, but there's also a weird world called the Kanata, so I mostly need urban locations, and some weird locations that we rarely see way ahead in the future when the characters visit the Otherside, but the story mainly takes place in modern world.
I can't promise payment, because I'm not in a western country and don't earn money in $ but I do have a fanbase to share the series with. I am also willing to share my skill as a writer if an artist ever needs any help with a plot, and I can help with paneling and direction, especially if it's done in manga style.
