We're working on a super hero story that will hopefully become a series of books. The first chapter has gone through a few edits so I was wondering if someone would be interested in beta reading it. We're not looking for an editor, we're looking to see if readers connect with the story and characters. It's still a WIP but feedback would be appreciated. We are looking for constructive criticism on what works and what doesn't work. What parts were interesting and what parts lagged and so on.
The first chapter is about 2300 words and follows one of the main characters on her first day back to high school. Her school bus is attacked by a giant monster and they are rescued by the super heroes.
