Q: if I drew a piece recently that would fit the theme of this challenge, will reblogging it and adding the hashtag be acceptable, or does it have to be a brand new piece?

I'm just waffling about it because I've recently started up and nsfw-sideblog, but I'm keeping the url on a request-only basis, because I am the shyest marshmallow (>.<)

Submitting to this would a.) let that url out into the wild, and b.) it looks like submitting can only be done with my main account's username attached? And for various reasons I kinda want to keep them separated.

If you submit an URL, it doesn't matter what account you submit the URL with; I'll reblog the URL, so if it's on your side blog, only the side blog will be shown on the reblog. So no worries there! If you submit a photo, that's different because I'd publish the photo from the account that submitted it. But I'm just asking that people submit the URL, which will allow me to go there and reblog it from where it's posted. You only have to worry about where you link me to!

Yep! Check out the FAQ on the site! They're called Sexy Art Challenges not because it's required they be explicit or anything, but because we have a positive and inclusive attitude towards nudity, kink, and sex. It's not required that any submission feature nudity, kink, or sex at all though. We're just providing an environment where artists who want to be challenged and want to get a little outside of the usual comfort zone or restrictions have a place to stretch!

It's perfectly fine to make multiple submissions if you are able to complete them in the time frame of the challenge! It should at least be a recent piece though, if it wasn't created specifically for the challenge, since the purpose of the challenge is, well...to challenge us to create on a theme. Hello hello!

The way you do it is, you do the challenge and post it on your tumblr blog (they're free and easy to setup!), then you go to the Sexy Art Challenges site's Submit page.

Choose Link from the pull-down menu that usually says Photo. Paste the URL in of the specific post from your tumblr. Then I'll reblog it on the official tumblr, and you can reblog it too, if you like!

You can feel free to share a link in this topic, but please do be sure to warn people if there's any mature content or stuff that may be considered not "work-safe". We don't want to break any of Tapastic's rules, after all!

I am absolutely delighted you did, @gpyrus ! You have such a marvellous style, and I adored your submissions. It's not really a contest, but I'm glad that people are participating! I'm glad if it helps people to stretch outside of their usual bounds. All of the submissions have been so gorgeous and inspiring. I think it's more important now than possibly ever for people to work comfortably in the sensual and even the erotic, and challenge themselves!
