what is this creature? some sort of dragon?

It is the cannon threat of the series, An alien species called "Mordas"

This is a picture I drew of my main character, Arjana, and her new elven friends celebrating with her. The elf with the antlers is Birger Bramblewood, her caretaker. The elven woman is Frigg Thornbush with her infant Ygnfi, her new neighbors. The white-haired elf is Izzimar, her friend. And the red-headed elf is Avvian Thornbush, the husband of Frigg.

Yes she is!!! And how I imagined her, I took elements from Cruella De Ville from 101 Dalmatians just for some added irony lol

This thing I drew today

Finally, a clean yet non-annoying to draw art style!!

Couldn't focus the other day and ended up making a New Years Card of my characters

This is one of several favorites I really liked the outcome of.

2 days? What about 6 months, which is how long it took me to finish this pic:

admittedly, about 90% of that time was used trying to decide whether or not to make the sketch a colored pic. In the end I decided not to because I still don't like using color pencils, pens & markers as much as good ol' graphite pencils, and even though it's black & white, I'm pretty happy with how it turns out.

it took me a long time to be willing to color my art. I had to start drawing my line art in color to get over the fear of ruining my art XD

Well, because it wasn't specified "something I did" let me show you a piece of art from my local art museum that I am particularly fond of

This is The Voyage of Saint Brandan (1908)

I like it because it reminds me of the framing device of Frankenstein (the book)

This is my first design for my novel, and I really love it!

finished this recently, she's the horse of one of the MCs in my active story, but she wont show up for a little while and I am impatient for her to come. It took a few tries to find a good pose for her. As a kid I had the opportunity to ride a very similar horse for a little while who is my inspiration for her character, and I wanted to capture the a similar personality in her portrait.

It's gonna take a few more tries to get there, but I'm feeling pretty happy about getting this early version of her together

Kinda lovin my valentine's day art!
