Here's mine!

Nora shook her head. “When we get back, I’m taking away all of your nerd privileges. We’ll just have to start you back at level one.”

“I’m keeping the ID card you made me,” I muttered.

"Do you believe in what your father is doing?”

“What we’re doing. I’m just as much a part of it as he is. He isn’t the boss.”

I thought about advising him to say the opposite of that when he got caught, on the off-chance they gave him a chance to speak before they killed him. “And you think there’s hope that it’ll work? That what you're doing will make anything better for the common people?”

“I think that nothing gets better so long as no one tries.”

That struck me as so naively sweet, I couldn’t help smiling. No matter who was in power, there would always be those who rose to the top, by hook or by crook, and those who sank to the bottom. There would always be those with claw marks on their backs.

I had to make sure I got what I came for before he realized I couldn’t teach him magic.

I probably couldn’t.

But what if I could?

"I have to get out of here!" Samara's thoughts race as a painful stitch gnaws at her left side. "Why does my whole body hurt? What happened to me?" She continues her frantic sprint down the plush, carpeted hallway, her heart pounding in her chest.

Sensing someone gaining on her, she glances over her shoulder and locks eyes with Sir Henry, his hand mere inches from seizing her shoulder. Panic surges through her as she realizes she can't outrun him in her weakened state. In a bold and desperate move, Samara drops to all fours, leaving Henry no time to halt his pursuit.

He vaults over her, somersaulting through the air before landing on his back with a resounding thud that echoes through the hall.

Samara swiftly rises, casting a fleeting glance at Henry sprawled on the floor before resuming her breakneck dash down the corridor. Ahead, she spots an ivory banister to her left. "Those must be the stairs," she deduces. But as she reaches the top of the stairs, her gaze locks onto two tall men in matching uniforms ascending toward her, their long swords glinting ominously at their hips.

Ahh here's mine!

...

Elsa took Li’s hand. The two locked eyes. Elsa’s tough gaze softened… a smidge. “Your reaction was completely reasonable, trust me.” She said lightheartedly. “I would’ve done the same exact thing.”
“I’ve never cut potatoes.”
“Even if I’d never cut potatoes.”

Li’s lips tightened. Elsa looked away, swinging a hand over her mouth. She closed her eyes tightly and like a perfectly timed drumbeat, the two broke into chuckles. “Was being a king’s consort fun?”
“King’s cons—” Li’s questioning tone snapped to a soft one. “-ort… Uhm.” Li’s heart flipped over a beat. “Er, no. We didn’t do anything!”

Elsa pursed her lips tightly and nodded. “Uhh.. gr, Alaric… would…” Li’s own awkwardness grated his ears. ‘Come on, think, genius!’ He snapped to himself. Li looked down, furrowing his brows hard. Elsa gently pat him on the back. It was times like now he wished hard he could sleep. “Erhh.. come to the balcony and hold my hand.. heh.”

Details: A small scene between what's thought to be a couple side characters after the main character, Tian LiJie was isekaid into a seemingly abandoned webnovel as the protag's insignificant love interest! Thanks for the thread!!

Hi! :)) This is the second to the last chapter of the third part of my story, Chasing Grief. New chapter just got out this week, so please look into it :))

Chasing Grief is a story in poetry form about a woman who navigates her feelings of grief after losing her love. She goes through life, death, and in between to find answers to her questions, and maybe to reconcile with her heart.

Here's a snippet of this chapter:

"Allow me to pull you through the night
And guide you back to light
This is not your fate just yet
No, you do not belong here even with regret"

Those three days, the dark reigner was sitting on a black and white designed sofa and was watching battles that were prevailing in different realms and in between different species via a huge transparent sphere that was floating in mid-air. It reminded me of the first time when we were in his soul dimension.

Hope you liked it.

preview: Evan watches a videoclip of mom Evlyn and baby brother Neon.

Bitter sweet episode with lots of emotions. The brothers Evan and Owen watch a videoclip sent by their mom many hours ago, before the Networks went down. For 12 year old Owen it's a hard pill to swallow. He and Evan may never see their parents and baby brother again!

I Put my snippet on display. The final scene from The Light of Lunacy. Mundus Vae Men of Mud and Stone.

And so, I stood in the Akkadi ship. I tilted my eyes up through the hair that fell across my face. I panted in loud breaths for the world around me was fading, and I feared I might not see the end of Nimrod. I had to hold on just a little longer. I inhaled and held it, fighting my trembling flesh.

Nimrod turned in his seat, crossed his arms, and smiled; his breathing apparatus was on his head but not his mask. “Your father spoke of shifting. I'm impressed. What now? Have you come to fight?”

I exhaled slowly. “I've come to destroy you,” said I.

“As you did the Vimana?” asked Nimrod amused.

“As I did the Vimana,” I replied. I shook my head and refocused my eyes.

Nimrod tilted back his head and laughed. The laugh grew loud and abrasive. Was he mad? For that matter, was I mad? Reality had lost its wet luster. I no longer felt bound. I hated his laughter, and as I screamed painfully, the lightning struck. It touched everything with probing fingers. A pale fading smoke filled my senses as my final thoughts were for Khamuel and Barachiel.

Just started these novels last month and I'm hoping for more views

Now, I was stuck in a dilemma. Should I go, or not go? Telling other people wasn't an option, and I had no one I could tell anyway.

This could be a trick.

She could be waiting with a bunch of people to ambush me.

Or maybe she was planning to publicly humiliate me somehow.

Everything about this seemed suspicious and screamed 'danger'.

However, something in my gut told me that I should go.

"Boss, we found a candidate for your daughter."

"Send me a copy of the form they filled out and run a background check. But first, tell me, is it a female or a male?"

"It's a female, sir."

"Huh, that's interesting. Well, continue with your work Cedric, and send her an email asking for an interview."

"Wait, right now, sir? She only just submitted the form, and we haven't even done the necessary background checks yet."

“Aleph and Tetora are talking it out, so that’s good. I couldn’t find a copy of the local bible lying around to pilfer though, so keep your eyes open on your rounds.”

“You want to steal a holy book? From a church?” Weren't we in enough trouble already?

“I said pilfer, not steal.”

I frowned. “What’s the difference?”

“It sounds better.”

This is my story Celestial Guardians about a guild of hero’s gifted with powers of animal constellations whether fan of shounen or shojo this is the perfect combination of the two! Please give it a read I’d really appreciate it!

Here is a snippet from my series: https://tapas.io/series/The-Vermilion-Lady

In her first life, she dreaded walking down to breakfast. The sharp stares of the other maids, encouraged by their Countess would always make her refrain from eating as much as she would like. It was only now that she realised that she was being starved purposely in her first life. There was no room for simple minded pettiness, as far as Cecilia was concerned.

Anyone who was going to get in her way would pay.

The halls of the estate sometimes felt like she was navigating through a labyrinth. Endless corridors and galleries had confused her so often as a child.

Finally, she came up to the main doors into the dining room. The mahogany double doors were engraved with an ivy pattern. The doors were opened by the pair of butlers.

The room she had once feared sparkled in the sunlight. Shades of deep green wallpaper mingled with the dark mahogany that decorated the room.

Nice! Here's a lil something from the recent art episode. Kiiiinda a swimsuit special

"Here you are making me cry more, and we need to leave." Micah spoke while raising his hands to his eyes and forcing a quick and vigorous blink.

"Sunshine, I'm glad your our third as well." Pyrite sank his head into the crease between his shoulder and neck. Little kisses were given until Dusk shivered.

Rewriting His Past

Dusk grew up dodging his siblings and dreaming of the life he could have without the Black family. The first step to achieving that, getting into Lapidary University; the most renowned school in the world! His second step was disavowing his family. Dusk pledges to work harder for his future plans, and it all starts off smoothly—until he meets his assigned Senior Guides.

With two of the most popular guys on campus popping up wherever he goes. Dusk finds himself dodging fanboys, (and girls!) fighting off assassins, and most importantly he finds himself starting to consider the pair's daily confessions! With his past, how could he believe in love, in them? Still, they won't give up, and maybe, just maybe Dusk, could find himself Rewriting His Past, for the shake of his future happiness?

Latest episode was quite a while ago, so probably ought to give this a pass for that reason. And the latest unpublished one is still very much unfinished. (sigh)

Can we post again after we update? Well, better to ask for forgiveness than permission, I suppose!

“The first thing you have to do is learn how to feel myortva, and—well, no, that’s really. Okay, so what you have to do first is like… So you know how you just feel things in your body all the time?”
He looked at me blankly.
“Or maybe you don’t even notice you’re feeling them cause they’re always just there, so you learn to tune them out.”
“You mean… the physical sensations of my body.”
“Yes, exactly. Just stop having those.”
“Oh.”
“It’s kind of counterintuitive because you have to really feel them before you can stop feeling them.”
“Okay.” He looked down at his hands.
“You feel it?”
“Do I feel my hands? Yes.”
“Do you, though? The air on them, the blood moving through them? When you really focus on it, you can feel them tingle.”
He squeezed his eyes shut.
“You don’t have to close your eyes, but sure. Whatever works for you.”

Check it out if you like fantasy, magic, drama, queer anti-heroes, rebelling against tyrants, awkward romance, and a pervasive vein of inappropriate humor, both dark and otherwise (but not as many prurient jokes as the title might make you think. For better or worse).

"Do you want to talk about your dream?"

"My nightmare. Yeah... yeah I can."

Milo told him about how he was in a small, dark room with no escape. How a pair of red eyes and a disembodied voice kept telling him he needed to leave, he needed to go... somewhere. How if he didn't start running, he would never be able to help those being hurt. How he tried to find a way out of the dark room but kept running into glass walls, the red eyes getting closer and closer, the voice louder and louder. How he was letting everyone down by staying in that room, killing innocents one by one.

"Stars, Milo... These dreams happen often?"

"Those, and worse".

This is such a fun idea !

When I received my bowl back, it was only half full. “Hey…”

“There’s no more left.” Tetora growled.

“Did you even divvy it up right?”

“Everyone got the same amount who wanted seconds!” Tetora’s tail lashed angrily.

“Just let me inspect your bowl to make sure.” I stood up and leaned over the table to gauge. “As I suspected…” His bowl was filled to the brim!

“A surcharge for table-side service! You get what you get!”

“And you don’t get upset.” Nora finished with a smirk.

“The heck I don’t…” I struck, stabbing a sizeable chunk of potato right out his bowl with my fork.

“Did you see what she just did?!” Tetora exclaimed to Aleph.

“Yes. Her reflexes are much quicker now.”

Hello!! Here's my work, Chasing Grief. It's a story in poetry form. It's about a woman who lost her love and is trying to navigate her feelings of loss, grief, and despair by going through life, death, and in between for answers to all her questions. Maybe in the end, too, she gets to reconcile with her hear :)) It's full of imagery, emotions, and feelings. I hope you look into it and give it some love!! <3 This is the last chapter for the third part btw, and the fourth (and last part) will come out soon!!

Here's a snippet:

"Open your eyes, I say, til we meet again
Awaken on land, in the fields of flower where you lay
Where the winds once blew, where it all began
And where you once swore with him to stay"
