I'm in the mood to listen to some new tunes and also because sometimes I listen to a song and I'm like THESE ARE MY CHARACTERS so drop some art that was directly inspired by a song!

(Here are some examples....I'm pretty heavy handed when it comes to being inspired by a song lol)

My first story, Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days, gets its name from a Judas Priest song off their 1986 Turbo album, and most chapter titles are either loosely or entirely based on song titles. Not much of the art is inspired by music, but one certainly is: This one, just a bunch of teenage friends hanging around at the lake in the 1980's. The song would be Friends by Joe Satriani:

This later one was inspired by a real life event (Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days is based on a true story), and I can tell you that the song playing in this dance floor scene was Hella Good by No Doubt:

You know, I thought I'd throw my two cents in here. Art inspires art is such a true phrase. I had an entire music video inspire me to write a romantic suspense series called "Thankful in Vegas". It's a song by the Killers called "Shot at the Night". For some reason, when I watch videos, I start daydreaming characters and plots, like it's some kind of writing prompt. As I watched the video, I started imagining a maid character, why she came to Vegas, who she'd meet and get involved with, which became a nicely dressed owner of the hotel she bumped into in the hall. Thus, my story was born.

Just wondering if any other creators do this.

I do this all the time! In a way, it can sort of feel like I'm directing a music video haha but yes art inspires art all the time, its what makes this community so great

This just a silly lil gif I created to place at the end my of comics... inspired by snl skit "a night at the roxbury"... replaced the trio (jim carrey, will farrel, chris kattan) with my oc's Cap (driver), Jack and Fat cat (in the back)...
