paint tool sai its a great program, but it doesnt have a perspective tool. I use reference images for things like this.
I actually do too. it's usually quicker
is that with colored pencils?
tip for you. for something like that closed shutter i would just draw three lines on a layer and the copy the layer and move it until i have enough to complete the shutter then flatten them together. it's quicker than drawing all them lines.
I did that actually! I'm all for working smarter, not harder lol
the most difficult page I've ever done so far on my 2 comics, would have to be maybe these two!for me backgrounds can take a while to complete, its like i need a prep before i handle these panels. i try to work on them first so i can work on solo shots and other things after the hard stuff. XD
Maximum Chaos
Vampire Search
Yup. Color pencils and a tiny bit of copics.
Hey, this looks pretty cool. I love the composition in it!!I really like how isolated she looks, framed by all this stuff. The broken window is just icing on the cake.Pretty good job, friend!
These two were very, very challenging! Those windows, Delah in color on the pillows.
I was literally doing those rocks, people, and debris stroke by stroke faint Hope you like it.
This really looks good! Can I suggest something? I'm not sure if it would workbut try to have the upper panel so it would cover the diagonalpanel below, so they be closer together. I think it would make for a better flow. hope that's ok to say
Pretty much any pages with lots of details for me.
I really don't like to draw classrooms. X.X
Ramiek, I can see what you're saying. And I'm seeing another change with that upper panel too! Right now, I'm doing my comic in the scroll down/full color way of Tapas and Webtoons. It would be interesting to convert this and I can see that upper panel blending into the bottom...maybe not even having that panel border. Thank you for your fresh outlook, it's something to play with and see how it turns out.
classrooms are the worst.
The difficulty in this one lied in drawing the page on two pieces of paper and digitally stitching them together to look coherent.
And this one because I didn't know how to properly draw someone being smashed through a window (and I still don't - someone give me tips for this please)/
hard to decide, but here are a few:
There must be lots of references on the web well... apparently it's not so easy...but I found this:
@monotone_ink you mean like this. i had almost forgot i had this as it was for an old comic. trick is make use of your layers and if your doing an object or person smashing threw put them/ it in place before any of the glass including the back glass with the hole.
This one was really hard because I'm not used to draw this kind of perspective, but strangely I felt relaxed while drawing it,
