HOWDY. Ok, I'll admit it's definitely embarrassing how long it took to bake this cake, but I accidentally set the oven to 50 degrees instead of 500, so as you can imagine, it was in there for a pretty long time. 
But it's done now! Thank you so much for 50+ (ALMOST 75, LOL ) subscribers! I baked you an Icelandic cake—Vínarterta to celebrate!
