Both of these used "found" art at thrift stores, goodwill etc.
For Dead Souls I hired a graphics friend to do the lettering. The painting was this great piece that's actually a lot bigger with full wings etc. and the skeleton is using a heart as a pendulum. The piece was unsigned. Artists really need to sign their work. I have walls of art in my apartment and very few pieces are signed. It's tragic.
For Bright Morn I hired an artist I know to do some major altering and pixilation of skin tone (the character has the ability to change his skin tone and when he isn't controlling it colors play under his skin, the the "mottled" look) on yet another unsigned piece and, of course the lettering because I can do it but suck at it.
