Humanity harvested pure matter from the environment to feed this energy and in return this energy gave the host an unique ability to help it survive, this symbiosis was called "The Connection", but there is one weakness to the connection; Conventional ideas. As humanity grew more prosperous and advanced in culture, so did the Connection. Life on Toreoth was ideal, until the social hierarchy collapsed. This collapse was caused by humanity, which had expended all of its original creativity. With this loss humanity lost the Connection as well. Hope has seeded itself in the minds of humanity again, every decade 20 lucky souls have an original idea or thought which establishes The Connection within them giving them an ability similar to the idea of a super power.
The 50th cycle of 20 souls has been interrupted by a kid named Zach and he has no idea that he is the last Connection that is tied to humanity's survival.

I just started releasing my Original Story Morpho Mons here on Tapas.
It's a Novel which is also illustrated, and will feature short comic pages in the future.

It's a passion project, a remake of sth I created 12 years ago, which combines childish/nostalgic media with more mature topics.

Genres are Drama, Slice of Life, LGBTQ+
More subgenres will be added in the future. It's a bit hard to categorize, but I generally want to show the stories/identities/struggles of the characters in this setting.

Story Name: Jumping Jack.
Genre:Action, Superhero.
It's a short story about a hero with the power of Super-Jumping, who quickly built up a massive fan-base, and has unfortunately let all the fame of being a Superhero Celebrity get to his head. He cares way more about putting on a show for his fans than doing his job as a hero, skips out on hero duty to be on talk-shows, and all around just stops taking his job seriously. At least until a new villain shows up that is.

I don't know how common superhero stories are on here, but if anyone else has any superhero stories I'd be down to read them.
