When his world is upended, he is forced onto a perilous road alongside Asteria, a mysterious, majestic girl harboring a blinding celestial power she doesn't fully understand, and Saki, a legendary former Vanguard Commander who has traded her silver armor for a common wool cloak to protect her family at all costs.
Together, they must navigate a lawless landscape of merciless outlaws, reality-twisting monsters hiding in the silver mist, and royal scouts hunting them from the shadows.
