Short Story Ideas--HELP

To be completely honest, I've simply run out of ideas for one of my novels (a collection of short stories) and I need some help brainstorming. That's really all there is to it

A character can hang out with their werewolf buddy only at night... until the monthly full moon, when the werewolf turns back into a human ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I have a brainstorming trick you can use to come up with ideas. Get some papers/cards/whatever with words.

You can have words with nouns, verbs, adjectives, genres and draw randomly. Then think a story with what you drew. This can train your brain to think laterally and to come with ideas more easily.

Okay I can suggest a few ideas although I am not sure whether they are gonna work with your stories or not.
Maybe a short story about a world where everyone is a certain colour, blue, green, red you name it. But in this world every colour is only allowed to be with the people of the same or similar hues. And may it's a love story about two hues who are radically different in colour and culture where they try to get closer to each other.

okay that might be too long boy I am bad at short stories.
Maybe two roomates find an alien species in their dorm room and they try to figure out what to do with it but end going to their alien planet.

Maybe a normal person going through his/her daily life until one day they are suddenly pulled into a dark alleyway where they are told that the illuminati is real and the proof is extreme.

Try a horror supernatural story, I recommend reading Edgar Allen Poe for some inspiration (He's the master!!!)

Don't know if it will help, but I created a thread where people post ideas for very short stories for me to write... Maybe you can snatch a few in there? I'll be writing them all but honestly, I doubt we'd be making the same things and it could be fun to see where we both end up with these

i would do something simple because you go crazy with it. Comdey: Do a pardoy of favorite series or genre and put a twist on it, Horror: Turn your phobia into chilling stories. Scared of hieghts? Have monsters invade the town and radomenly take people into sky and wacth them fall to thier doom. The mystery is why are they here throwing ppl? Where they came from?
