Hello! I am a (not professional) writer, and currently go by the pseudonym ‘ghost’, though it may change in the future, as I gain more experience. The pseudonym I picked does not really have a deep meaning, other than the fact that I love supernatural creatures and stories about them. I have always been keen on reading, fantasy, horror and science fiction being my go-to genres most of the time. Although I have a variety of tastes when it comes to reading, my main focus when writing is in the science-fiction genre, which also happens to be the genre I am currently writing a story about.
To make it short, I am in need of an artist that would feel comfortable drawing science-fiction, with all the details it implies, drawing backgrounds and proper use of lightning being some of the examples; the presence of an intense color palette would also suit the story, but if by any reason the artist preferred to draw the story in black and white, that would not be an issue. It is, after all, meant to be a short story, with the main purpose being to entertain the readers and be pleasing to the eye. Color is not a must.
There are two species present in the story, which mostly takes place in a foreign planet. Those are the human race and an unnamed species of extraterrestrial beings that faintly resemble plants. The design does not have to be too complex, but the facial expressions in both types of creatures should not have any trouble with expressing emotions to the readers. Since human shape is fairly easy to get right, I will move on to further explain the composition of the aliens. Lanky compared to humans, they have an oval shaped face, but all around the face they have green thorns growing from under their skin, in a way that almost resembles the head shape of a triceratops. Their eyes are also oval shaped, and completely black, but since the aliens are not meant to be the antagonists in the story, their final design should not look threatening.
When it comes to the art design, I am certain that a cartoon-ish style would suit the story more than anything else (American comic book style could also work though). Some similar examples to this specific type of style would be in the links present under this paragraph (work belongs to tamaytka and pidqeon on Instagram, all rights go to them). I will take this chance to mention that this story is meant to be suitable for work, or SFW.

My story has been planned through already, which means the base is all set. Once the artist is chosen for this collaboration, they will be given the script in parts or to it’s full length (it can be discussed) to give the artist the possibility to have some basic organization already shaped by the time they start working on it. Unfortunately, the script has not been published anywhere yet, so I do not have the link to it, but by the time the artist is found they will dispose of it without any trouble. This project is not meant to put any unnecessary stress on the artist, and the time will be determined by the time in a week that the artist is willing to give the story until it is finished. It can be a short term project, or a long term project, depending on what the artist finds best. What must be considered is, the finished product will end up being published in the Webtoon platform, for the world to see and read. Once it is published, the artist will have copyright of the art, while the plot and story will belong to me.
This is an unpaid request, since I do not have money to offer. However, there will be a distribution of profits (if any) after publishing the story in Webtoon, with the distribution being, at very least, 50/50. It might be discussed, if necessary, and changed up to 60/40 to the artists favor. Still, this is with the assumption there will be any profit at all. Having this in mind, I have not made any exigences when it comes to the time the artist takes to draw (and possibly paint) the art in this short story. I do hope this is and sounds fair enough.
Hopefully some of you will find this idea interesting! I am certain that the perfect artist for the further development of this story will be found, and if all works well, maybe they could also consider doing collaborations in the future!
