Shorter comic & manga series/graphic novels?

I'm looking for short(less than 10 volumes) comics/graphic novels/manga I'm not a fan of really long series, I never really read a complete comic series and long series tend to drag on and on. I have the Fatale, the complete Death Note Collection(haven't finished it) and I'm planning on getting Fullmetal Alchemist so don't suggest those

Hummm, what kind of genre do you like ? Because there are some nice "short" manga, but I don't know if it would please you

two of my favorites and my terrible descriptions of them:

Monster - 18 volumes - a doctor tries to track down a serial killer he saved years before.

Mushishi - 10 volumes - a guy goes around helping people deal with lifeforms that are invisible to most humans.

Love hina and Genshiken are my two favorite mangas. Love Hina is 14 volumes, genshiken is 9 volumes.
Both are slice of life, comedy.

The original Yugioh manga (pre duelist, duelist being the card game orientated series that everyone knows) runs 7 volumes and is very good.
All of the Shoujo mangaka Arina Tanemura's works tend to run in the 10ish or below range.
The Bakuman manga by the creators of Death Note is 20 volumes which might be over what you're looking for, but it's good.
Nightmare Inspector is one of my personal favorites and it runs 9 volumes.

What I have in mind right now :
- Chrno Crusade, 8 volumes, a manga about exorcist nuns in the twenties, and more specifically, about Rosette and Chrno, a demon linked to rosette since a tragic event in her past. Rosette fight demonic threats and will learn more about what happened in the past.
- if you want something really light hearted and magical, Card Captor Sakura (12 volumes) or Angelic Layer (6 volumes) from Clamp are good choices.
- I didn't read it, but some people recommended me xxHolic (19 volumes) also from Clamp.

... Now I remark taht everything I said are from the early 2000's. I'm old. The other series I follow aren't finished yet or are really long... :')

I don't know what kind of genre you prefer, but these are my favourite shoujos. Okay, Chobits isn't shoujo I think.

Robot Detective K is 2 volumes.

Godzilla: The Half Century War by James Stokoe is five issues. The Shadow Hero by Gene Luen Yang and Sonny Liew is a standalone graphic novel.

I recently read "All you need is kill".
It's only two books and it's way better than the movie!

This one is more of a graphic novel, "Brody's Ghost" by Mark Crilley. Not complete yet, but I'm pretty sure it ends at 6 volumes, and vol 6 comes out pretty soon.

I ended up getting a 2 in 1 version and I thought it was on going. So I was real surprised by the end of it haha.

I know Blame! isn't very long either. I think it's 10 volumes...
I like this one but the story gets are to follow as it goes.
I ended up just admiring the art and the cool actions scenes.
I'm still trying to find meaning in it all!
