@DiegoPalacios Yeah, I know what you mean, I do read HxH! Of course, when we talk about Yoshihiro Togashi, some story arcs are not long because they take a lot of page count... they're long because goddamn hiatus!! (though I feel we're all used to it by now. I know I am!)
Between story arcs I usually like to do some breather chapters, some done in one business (though some act as epilogues). That said, I plotted the next arc after my behemoth and it will probably be 19 chapters/weeks long. Still king of long! haha
And I absolutely agree. Actually, to me, pacing is THE KEY in comic books. Probably in storytelling...
Just for the sake of discussion, what would you see as filler? Do you read One Piece? If so, would you say Skypiea is filler? Some of my friends always have this opinion and it's hard for me to agree, though I see where they're coming from.
@stnmaren
This is also the kind of stories I tend to gravitate towards. Although what I'm doing is a little variant on this, I believe: smaller arcs that add up to something large at the end of the road.
@miramiee
Super agree with you. I actually always say this when talking to my partner, that each story has its own time haha I actually went into plotting this arc believing it would have 15 chapters, but things kept happening and well, here we are. We'll see how it works out!
I'm a sucker for foreshadowing and since I tend to plan far ahead, I try to sprinkle it everywhere, but man oh man, is it tough to pull it off, right?? Hard work!
