Should I just give up on posting on Webtoon?

So, I've been posting my comic CrimiNET consistently twice a week on here, Webtoon, and Comicfury since August. I don't know if it's just me, and I REALLY don't wanna sound greedy, but CrimiNET cannot get any good engagement on Webtoon so far, with only just 5 subs right now. Since Webtoon has no forums or anything like that, I find it really hard to promote it on there, so all I can do is just upload a page and hope for the best, which only racks in about 1-3 views per update, and occasionally one like, meanwhile I'm getting significantly better numbers on here, and Comicfury.

In fact, here's a little comparison for my views on the three sites so far.

Tapas: 1.4k views

ComicFury: 7232 pages viewed

Webtoon: 394 views

I even had one user subscribe to CrimiNET on Webtoon for the SOLE PURPOSE of promoting their webcomic in my comment section, only for them to unsubscribe when I just ignored it.

But the biggest thing is that I heard Webtoon is absolutley vicious when it comes to censorship. Even for stuff as simple as a few F bombs in a comic. Obviously my comic isn't very kid friendly. In fact, in some upcoming chapters of the story, there are entire sections in them that involve a LOT of the stuff that Webtoon is very strongly against, and I would have to rewrite entire scenes if I wanna make them more "Webtoon friendly" or else they may just straight up remove my entire comic from the site.

So what do you think, should I just stop posting on Webtoon altogether, or keep it going and see what happens?

So it's not just me, but it seems that webtoons as a whole seems like its burying indie writers ect.

I launched my new webcomic 6 months ago, and it got a FRACTION of the readers and likes that my other projects got. And pretty much got buried instantly.

It's not like Tapas is doing double the numbers, but it feels like webtoons as a whole is just shoving a lot of stuff into a corner.

My experience with Tapas and Webtoon is a little different. I barely broke 100 subs on tapas but over 300 on webtoons. Tapas had 21k views while Webtoons had 41k views. So I think its more the audience. I don't think they overlap much.

When it comes to censorship, both are pretty all over the place. Tapas 40+ episodes in went through my series pointing out the dumbest little stuff. A line on a bathing suit was said to be outlines of genitals. it wasn't but I had to erase it. They also had not problems with some blood but other blood was too much for them. All the blood is very cartoony as I draw in a Disney style. Webtoons on the other hand had no problem with some partial nudity (the backside of a person) but then pulled an episode for showing a girl's back while she was sleeping. All non-sexual. So this shows both have no standard but all depends on who's judging it. Neither have ever had a problem with language. My dialogue is not full of curse words but I do have them and never have been told to tone it down.

FR. I have always uploaded my work on Webtoon, but over the past year, my viewer count has significantly decreased. My earlier works, which were akin to simple comics made by a child, received much more engagement compared to now. I initially thought that the number of Webtoon readers had decreased, but I’m barely getting a single view anymore.

I treat Webtoon like a second Instagram: Upload and leave. I've started encouraging new readers to read on Tapas instead, given how little Webtoon values its indie creators.

I've periodically dropped and repicked up tapas because it doesn't get any traction, like, at all. My comic, RGA!, has 1,200+ followers on webtoons but like 30 on tapas for example. One of my other webtoons got well over 4,000-- while that aforementioned 30 is the highest of any of my tapas works. I have decided to keep posting because it frankly takes no effort to do so. Just set a schedule date and forget. never hurts to be on multiple platforms.
But if you're worried about it getting nuked off the platform and fussing about changing it to fit webtoon's TOS then it might be too much of a hassle for no return.
I'd say, if you don't change or edit it, keep it going because it causes no harm and costs nothing to schedule and forget. But if you have to change it and put in efforts to keep it site friendly, drop it.

Webtoons is just a mirror it's not my main. If they delete some of my updates as they've historically done, oh well

I still don't understand how anyone gets that many subscribers on Webtoon Canvas. I've been posting for 2 years there and on here. In that time, owing largely to the forums, I've amassed 128 subscribers on Tapas while Webtoon is still at a mere 17 even back when I did try to promote the Webtoon page or be active on the Discord servers (though to be fair, I got overwhelmed quickly by Discord).

Since Tapas is the first platform I've ever posted my comic on, naturally, I've gotten more views, subscribers, and likes there. I also use Webtoon, but that's more of a mirror than anything since I'm practically done with that.

I also upload on NamiComi, which is a lot better for indie webcomic creators like myself and actively promotes them on the main page. But unfortunately, growth has been slow. So far, I only have two subscribers, which is lower than even Webtoon, but has more views than it. So unless if my Tapas base would move to NamiComi, I'm gonna have to stick to Tapas

Also, NamiComi is a lot more liberal in terms of content than Webtoon or Tapas.
