Should I rate my comics mature?

Something I was wondering recently was if i the mature rating hurts my views on my comics? When I look at the mature section more comics are BL, and not a lot of gritty stories with action. My main reason for rating my comics as mature, mostly is because of some vulgar language. If the mature rating is hurting my comics, should I go back and sensor the dialogue, or change the wording to be less 'adult'. And if so which one would be better?

Most people don't use the mature filter for language, particularly if it's just average level swearing. It's also worth noting it's a per episode thing, it's not like the entire comic gets put in a mature section. You just mark the relevant pages. It should have very little effect on views.

I suggest noting in the story description "rated mature for language" and not worry about the mature filter unless it's more extreme or hateful language.

It does affect the views in some creators reported more views on the pages they marked as mature

The comic on the "Mature" sections are premiums only. Thus, it does not reflect the community mature-rated comics and community's attitude towards them.

It is most likely due to the guidelines, mature comics are not shown in the app which many Tapas users reads from
