Personally I have far more support on webtoons than tapas.
I had been posting regularly for a while, then was forced to stop after becoming homeless multiple times within a year. I found a place but 6 months later was homeless again, found another temp place for 3 months and then homeless again. I have been in my current spot for just over a year, but have had little time to draw. So for two years I was forced to step away, only updating when I could.
Webtoons people have been far more loyal. When I was consistent, I got comments on both, but as soon as I was irregular, i got less activity on Tapas. I lost a lot of subs. Webtoons actually grew while Tapas was dropping me. I figured people deserved to know my situation and that I was not trying to be a jerk or lazy.... just was having a rough personal patch. After I posted my update, I lost even more on Tapas, I hardly lost any on WT.
Every time I managed to finish some pages and post on Tapas, I lost subs.... but gained on webtoons. I get comments on webtoons from the same people when I was consistent. Generally webtoons is far more supportive than tapas ever was, but now I feel it is pointless to continue anyway?
Being so inconsistent I do not know if any reader will ever trust me again when they see the upload history. It was not my fault why I lost my homes, family drama. But I am unsure where to go except focus on rebuilding the buffer before I post more.
TLDR Webtoons has been way more supportive than tapas on the loyalty front and I rarely get complaints. Tapas readers dropped me like a hot cake when I became inconsistent after losing my home.
