Most of the time I think it should be alone, that's when I do my best work, and can think and go the deepest. But collaboration is great for sharing both writers' audience, it helps both writers grow their audience. It could also be beneficial to bounce ideas off each other. However, I've always written my best work alone with my own thoughts.
