kaname and Sousuke are the main characters from Full Metal Panic!, A classic Mecha/comedy series. Kaname is your average high school girl, and Sousuke is so obsessed with military thing that he lack common sense (ie: there is a recurring joke in the anime where he always bring actual firearms and explosives to school)

Amuro and Char are from the Gundam franchise, they’re soulmates (negatively), and a classic BL ship.

Also there’s a small nod of inspiration from Guts and Griffith.

My characters Axel and Felix were partially inspired by Sarah Jolley’s take on the ducktales characters Gladstone Gander and Magica De Spell.

A guy with incredible luck and a witch. That’s where most of the similarities end, besides Felix and Gladstone’s style similarities. But I feel like they also share the “perfect opposites” kind of relationship energy.
