Show off your Fantasy Novels with LGBT characters!

Thought it'd be nice to see how well the LGBT community is represented outside of the main category for them, so tell me about your LGBT characters and post your links!

I'll start with mine. So far each of my short stories has LGBT representation, though only in the most recent one is it explicitly shown.

In Finding Work - Brun is canonically a lesbian, and Arya is canonically bi. This isn't explicitly shown but I have plans to focus on Brun especially later down the line.

The Shopkeeper - Arin is Nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns throughout the entire story. It's subtly touched on a bit but its easy to miss.

Brooders - (Spoilers) One of my characters is explicitly bisexual and states that he is. Another is revealed to be transgender in no uncertain terms and is accepted as such by her peers.

I'd really like to see other authors show off their LGBT characters. I know there's a large community for the BL/GL stuff but seeing these characters in other genres is something I'm very interested in. I love this~ I actually added the LGBT tag after realizing I had more LGBT members in my main cast then not, but the novel was solely Action, Fantasy for a long while.

Can't wait to get to some of those stories you have up now.

Yeah, it's funny because most of the ones I have planned center around my straight characters, but I keep getting ideas for short stories and the characters keep "writing themselves" as LGBT. I ended up doing the same thing as you although I have Fantasy as my main genre.

Welp fantasy in loosest possible way. But yeah most of my main cast is LGBT in one way or the other. But really Im more focused on plot and mystery for now. It just happened.

Let's just say that the sum majority of my cast is LGBT.
I can't reveal much because it'll be spoiling the story.

One of my main characters, Flora, is LGBT, and as the story progresses into her adulthood there will be some romance for her! She is one of the first to become a mage in my dark fantasy When Souls Awaken!

Sexuality is not the main theme in the series, and my series is very dry of romantic content until up now. Nevertheless they exist and there will be romantic subplot and such theme in the future.

My comic is fantasy-ish, with a pretty large percentage of the cast LGBT. Pretty much my default character is pan as it is what I know; if they have any romantic relationship that's when I decide if they are something else
My story is not romance but there is a romance-ish subplot starting anytime now (m/m).
A bit later I will introduce a transwomen who is a very important character for the main plot, and whose life story and experiences as a trans person will be detailed.
There are a few other LGBT characters too, but I think the transwoman and her side story is probably the main specifically LGBT content I have.

Okay, so I can say that my story's main character, Ava, is going to be interested on girls. Not only that, I can say that entire races are basically LGBT. Again, no name on how the races are named, but I will say that they're based on animals. There are Humans (yes, there are humans), ants, lizards, birds, and fish races. There are other races, but I'll mention the main ones.

Let me start with the Human race - Just kidding, we all know how it goes.

The ant race - Just like real ants, the ant race in my story have a queen that needs to mate with a male ant (no incest in my story) to produce workers and soldiers. Doesn't sound very LGBT, right? Well, that's when I took some creative thinking and thought to myself, "well, since only the queen can create eggs, it won't matter who the soldiers and workers sleep with, right?" That's why I made the ant race completely Bisexual, but the queen is expected to mate with a male. By the way, like many ant species in the real world, the soldiers and workers are all female. There are males, but they don't do....much.

The lizard race - I based them on the real life New Mexico Whiptail Lizard, also known as (interestingly enough) "the lesbian lizards". The lizard race in my story are all female, and capable of reproducing without any male. Well, technically, they could reproduce with a male, but it's always another of the lizard race. Holy crap, it reminds me of the Asari from Mass Effect, except that the lizard race wouldn't take anything from the father. No males can be born among them. Anyways, they prefer other females, since they see no reason or need to sleep with a male.

The bird race - I based it on ravens, and believe it or not, they can bond with someone of the same sex. So, that would make them Bisexual. I mean, a good number of bird species form same-sex pair, so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

The fish race - Oh man, this one is going to be a surprise. I combined clownfish, wrasses, and hamlet fish to create this race. Therefore, they can change from male to female, female to male, or become both. Therefore, it doesn't really matter who their partner is. I guess the focus would be if they love that person.

Here is my fantasy novel which has lgbtq characters (main and side), but I will warn that those particular characters have a bigger role in book 2 rather than book 1. That's just because I have multiple main characters and the first one just happens to not be lgbtq lol

Well, the protag of mine is non-binary, another one of the main characters is also non-binary, and there's a guy who's very very pansexual lmfao (and more ofc)

My comic Bakemono is about a group of super gay monster hunters... It's on hiatus at the moment, but the first two chapters have a lot of content I guess!

Edit to add: My apologies, this is a comic, not a novel! Don't quite know how I totally missed that in the title of the post!

Most of the characters in my novel Jade Kingdoms are on the Ace spectrum (lots of demis). Platonic love is also an important theme.

I have two novels s up here on Tapas that feature LGBTQ characters as the main cast.
The First one is Tie Him To Me The Series. It is updating daily.

Character couple list.
Saint and Heart
High and Mark
Ring and Tone
Kit and Ten
Moon and Sun
Honey and Dew
(there are many other couples and people mentioned after all this is five books long but these are the LGBTQ cast members.)

The Main characters Saint and Heart are gay and both are open about it. There is no discovery in this one or worry about being accepted. They are two grown consenting adults.
The side couples (all have their own books as it is a five book series.)
High is pansexual and doesn't see gender. Mark his partner is gay.
Kit is asexual and married to Ten who is Bi.
Moon is agender. Sun is transgender and they are together. There is a six year difference Sun is Moon's dance instructor.
Ring is gay but falls for Tone who is questioning at first but realizes later on that he is bigender. But they have trouble being together due to a terrible shared trauma between the two of them.
Honey is bi. But Dew is a lesbian.

It is a really fun series about the god Fate who saves my main character Heart's life from the god of mischief and death Mara. But everything goes haywire when five strings of Fate's that were never supposed to intersect tie themselves to Heart's ankle binding themselves to his life his paths, his friends and family, his love, and his doom.
