The Tapas merch store is here! It's currently by invite only as a beta test, but I've been told by Ratique to let everyone know that public applications will be open soon! :tapa_pop:

So, if you've made a store already, why not show off some of your favourite designs? Especially if you've actually ordered one you can take a photo of!

Or if you're planning to make a store, you could show off a design you're hoping to use! You can also ask any questions about setup, art specs or how the store works. There are some resources and bits of advice on Printful6 (who do the printing and distribution for Tapas) that might be useful to get you started, as well as images that'll give you a sense of the print quality. You can also try out the design maker over there, though be aware that the merch available on your Tapas store will just be a basic selection of t-shirts, hoodies, totes and sweatpants for now.

I've started simple with mine, so I just have a few designs right now. I figured the rainbow ghosts everyone loves so much and the Crow "NO KINGS" graffiti would make a good start.

I'm pretty tempted to try ordering something to try out! (and also to wear) :sweat_02: How about the rest of you?

Your designs look so cute! I would love to buy my own designs but it doesn't ship to my country. :sweat_02:

Each of my design has a tote bag, hoodie, and T-shirt version!

My merch shop link is below:

So having just tested out the full experience of making and ordering a design, I just want to make everyone aware:

MAKE YOUR DESIGNS AT 1800x2100 pixels and 150dpi (2100 x 2100 pixels for hoodies) MINIMUM!

The design creator will let you upload images smaller than this if you scale them down, but IT'S A TRAP! Your design will come out looking all blurry and horrible! I luckily just got rescued by Ratique after putting in a test order and had to remake my inventory! :sweat_02: Don't make that mistake yourself!

Can you tell me how you did the little ghost? I uploaded my image at the minimum required scale, then scaled the image in the creator to be on the chest area, and Ratique's mock images came out at max size anyway. Any tips?

What I wanted vs mockup:

Try making a file where the canvas is 1800 x 2100, mostly empty space, but then put the design in the top right of the canvas? Hopefully that works. The file for the ghost I did like that because I hadn't drawn the ghost big enough to fill a 1800x2100 canvas, so I kinda shoved it in the middle/top :sweat_02:

So I got a parcel yesterday! A lot faster than I actually expected!

This is the "Unisex soft style T-shirt" the cheaper one that only comes in white, black and grey...

As you can see, the print quality is pretty good! The Errant logo has come out very crisp, with even the little jaggy bits like the bottom of the A and N looking sharp. The colours came out nice and vibrant too and go over the fabric colour without it showing through. The print has a nice rubbery feel, not that shiny, crinkly finish like cheap custom-prints, so I'm hoping it should wash well.
The fabric is quite nice, it's fairly soft, feels like a decent t-shirt.

One thing to note is that the fit, being unisex, runs a little on the large side if you're used to buying clothes from the ladies section.
If you'll forgive standing on the bed for this (I'm not at my usual home right now and discovered the placement of the full-length mirror was...interesting....).

This is the size S shirt. For reference, I'm 5'1" or 155cm tall and around a UK size 8 (that's about a US/Can 6 or a European 36 according to Google) so if you're also on the petite side, the shirts will be baggy, not tightly fitted, and the sleeves may be quite long (you can see they're only about an inch from my elbows there! :sweat_02:). Hopefully maybe in the future we can get some Babydoll T's or XS size; that'd be pretty nice!

Overall though, it came out pretty nicely!

Thank you Nathan for buying it! I'm glad the print turned out nice, I didn't expect the small details to look so good (even after washing).

I didn't see this thread before, but here are 3 of the designs that are currently in my shop.

Bag with Paloma, Tortura, and Callejero having fun shopping:

Promotional shirt of Sun Industries, a fictional company that exists in my comic:

And last, the same shirt that Nathan bought. Dark Sun is a space station in my comic:

Here are some zoomed in images of the details. Knowing that the quality is this good, I'll definitely be drawing sheets for the other ships in the comic :rocket::smirk:

I just wanna say that the designs are very cute! My favorites are those with emojis. (already ordered myself a couple of shirts!) By the way, I didn't know that making your own shirt design can be so interesting and funny! I have just made my own shirt on https://masterbundles.com/ and I really happy ;D looks super cool. I will probably print some for all my friends
