lol for some reason picturing lots of those circus 'freak show' things you see in old films mermaid bones and potential dinosaur bones 🤣 speakin of dinosaurs (was a dino nerd as a kid) i remembered how the dinosaur illustrations evolved from the old eras, they used to draw them bulky

And this one is a drawing of a convention in that era which many top scientists at time had dinner in an iguanadon statue in 1853 tho your convention in 1920s

For my series I just ended up making the characters as I got closer to the episodes with them, but yep as all 20 show up in 1st episode you truly got your hands full 
Nice seeing him through the ages means you're covering different phases in his life too
Nice texture shading of his coat on 3rd image and great attention to details on the buckles, weapons and cross ornaments
I haven't done much research on this yet but a period of Japan that always fascinated me was Heian era

yep super human genes, it isn't too clear yet in comic as we only saw the brothers so far but they'll soon start to realize all the super spreaders including the mom n some of those wrestlers are superhumans

Brings some fun memories of this old discontinued idea from back in school, called Rover Knights was inspired by Final Fantasy Chrono Cross and Pirates of Carribean but everyone was pirate dogs, I swore i had some on my deviant art but will drop some here when I locate them, think back then I was just dabbling with styles but it never evolved into anything further lol

Also I was recently reading about the Celtic Knot for the same 'boxer' character Idea i had mentioned, I'm fairly new to learning about the traditions of those regions, but it's always fun experience learning and making art inspired by different cultures
