~~Silly Dreams~~

My manga Scarlet Black is based in a dream, but just the concept, the "history" of the dream is to be done.
And I have another manga that I will bring here in the future that is based on a dream to.
strange dreams, indeed! ^^

I don't remember what triggered this dream I had but it was somewhat strange. Basically their was this murderer with a top hat circle sunglasses, what murders he did weren't shown. Eventuallly the good guy of the dream killed him but that wasn't shown either. When he returned home the living room had a neon lights in the floor like at a disco. Then his little brother and sister tell him that the murderer helped build this floor for them, this put the good guy in shock. Then you see the murderer's sunglasses glowing in the dark then he smiled deviously with his teeth. His teeth also glowed in the dark.

lol, my dreams are never that detailed. They're more like blurry movement and bits n pieces of things I remember, but for the most part my dreams are based heavily around feelings. Sometimes I end up interacting with my own creations, and even if I never see them, they just give me the same kind of feelings you'd get when interacting with different kinds of people in different situations. I can feel a presence, in a sense, like a real person's.

Was your dream like a nightmare or was it more of something that you just witnessed from an outer perspective?

That dream wasn't in my perspective it was more like a movie but, it was more disturbing than scary.

The scariest dream I had is about a person i dubbed "Perfect Man" I had this dream back in 2013. I don't remember some it though. There was one scene when I went outside only to see crowd of him in the front of the house I lived in. Then my uncle came out and wondered what was going on and I told him. Then after I was done explaining Perfect Man put his head on his body then I started to run. He snapped his fingers and started up car that didn't have the keys in it. Then the next part of my dream I realized it was a dream so I summoned my characters to come to my aid. Then he simply snapped his fingers again and turned them into cardboard. Then I woke up.

I apologize if I am talking your ear off with my weird dreams.

Nah, it's good. How the hell were you able to keep your dream once you became self-aware? Usually when I do, the dream changes and I have no idea what's going on. lol maybe we have different kinds of dreams :Y

I guess my dream adapted to my Lucid Dream moment so it can remain in its favor and be creepy.

I dunno, when I become self-aware I always think too much and wake myself up.

Sometimes if the dream doesn't make sense I start to poke plot holes in the dream then I wake up just like you.

Speaking of comics could you link me to your comic I would like to see it.

I write two comics of my own, one is an action, adventure, fantasy called Seishin Patona. The other is called is a romance, drama, slice of life called In The Midst.

It's still being constructed. I keep picking at plotholes and changing things. I have to learn a whole new digital program, so I might make a series for scraps and extras so I can get feedback. Your comics are really colorful! How long do they take you? :Y

I haven't dreamed of anything regarding my comic in particular. I get the weirdest dreams(like my dad being kidnapped by a Swiss dominatrix etc), so I can't really use them... but I had a few random dreams here and there which I thought were pretty good ideas. I may use them for future stories.

That's a good thing to do for a story finding plot then making corrections are important so the story has a solid foundation. Learning a digital program also quite the challenge I am still learning about new ways to improve my comic. It usually takes 7 to 9 hours on at average to make a page. However, the more complex pages take me a day to day and a half to complete. If you ever need my feedback for your comic you can always find me on Tapastic if you are so inclined.

Sure thing! Yeah I'm trying to figure out Manga Studio 5 and it just looks scary. I've been using Sai but Sai isn't ideal for comics. As far as plot holes... Every work of fiction has a plot hole. Most of them aren't big enough to ruin the story, but I'm a perfectionist and every time I try to touch up the story I scrap it. It has a solid premise, it's just the details and the exposition I'm trying to iron out. It gets really complicated.

I myself use Adobe Photoshop CS5 but, this program is somewhat expensive, if you are not a student it could cost like $6000. As for ironing out your story sometimes its good you have another person help you give feedback on the idea. I also have scrapped alot of stories before i got my present stories. Some of them had an interesting premise or if pushed further could be good stories.

From what I've heard, manga studio 5 is one of the top alternatives to CS5, and for $50 it's much less of a risk than a few grand. It's such a pain in the butt to get used to a complicated program though. It would be nice to get feedback on the story, but it's not yet cohesive enough to make sense to anyone else but me. I figure that starting a series for scraps, character designs, styles, etc. will solidify the concept enough to show other people before the final thing. Sometimes I wonder if it's just better to roll with it and start instead of thinking so much about how to make it better before I've even made the first page. :U

That's definitely true who has 6 grand to throw around, so its a cheaper alternative. Whether you want to roll with the roll after its ready to go or wait until its perfect is something you learn over time. I am too meticulous, I have to my story have a solid base where I can't poke holes in the plot until I start working on it.

Well, it's also my first. It's really hard to keep in mind no matter how "good" I try to make it, it's not going to be as good as the next project or the one after that as I improve. :/

That sounds like what one of my OC's Eota. I went through before she burnt out because I had too much exposure to her and her overall world and character.
