It does look like that, but that's only a single comment, and it never displays more than just the top one there for me.

Thanks for sticking with me. I appreciate it, and I hope they change this.

Yea some comments can get really long. Having them squished in the sidebar can be tedious and cramped. Hopefully ratique has notified the team

We seem to have yet another new comic reading interface this week. In this new interface, when I position my mouse pointer over the episode list in the main, lower part of the new right-hand column on the page, the page's overall scroll bar, on the very right side of the browser window, suddenly disappears, causing the entire contents of the browser window, comic and all, to expand into the new space left by the scroll bar's disappearance, abruptly shifting things to the right by that 40 pixels or whatever it is.

When I move the mouse off the episode list, the full window's scroll bar re-appears, causing everything to shift back.

This occurs in both Chrome and Firefox on Windows 10. In Chrome, I cleared browsing data, but the problem still occurred.

Same here. I think people mentioned it in the Feedback thread, so ratique must have taken note of it.

Yeah, I feel this is great for super short comments. But who doesn't love getting long, in-depth comments?

I do appreciate the return of infinite scrolling, so hopefully with a couple more tweaks, Tapas can Reach Perfection™®:sparkles:.

Only one bug to report so far. When clicking on activity notifications in the pop up menu under the bell, all I get is HTTP Status 400 - Bad Request alerts. Firefox 78.0.1, Mac OS 19.15.4.

Can confirm. It does not work for me. Clicking "see all" just takes me out of fullscreen and instead puts the comments on the side per usual.

Once again, Kudos on the massive improvement on navigation. Not having to click 4 times to see new content for each comic is a joy. Feature request: Could you please incorporate the next unread library item into the autoscroll like in the days of old?

This might actually confuse the heck out of me and I wouldn't want it.

So glad endless scroll is back! My view is plunking down hard since the new layout launched in March!

I'm pretty ambivalent to the changes, but this is a problem: the comments section is covering up a pretty big chunk of my pages. And that's on all pages.

I'm using Google Chrome and I'm on a Mac, if that helps any.

Thanks for the updates, and I appreciate y'all taking in community feedback.

EDIT: I think what kind of computer IS actually important, since as soon as I resized my window, it adjusted to fit the screen, but if I reloaded my page or go to a different comic, I have the same problem. I'm on a 13-inch Macbook Pro Retina.

Honestly thrilled with how hard Tapas staff works to listen to users and to think about both mobile and desktop experience. The team works really hard and deserves kudos all around!

However I also want to add our vote for the ability to expand comments/expand the comment box. Receiving long, in-depth comments is the joy of every creator I'm sure, and for us, it's how we build a relationship with our readers!

Right now it's just a mess, when we can't click on "Add a comment" to expand the page :frowning:

It would be awful if we discouraged readers from leaving long comments because of the UI! (Already on our latest chapter update everyone is much less chatty :cry_02: )

If you mean the menu on the right: click the list button to get rid of it.

For the top and bottom menus? I completely agree. On my laptop and computer they take up far too much space and you can't hide them without full-screen. Which, will its existence is great; I'd still prefer clicking to hide the bars without resorting to it as I like to browse other tabs while I read. Going in and out of fullscreen frequently would get old rapidly.

PS: Hey Ingress! I remember finding that on Smackjeeves before that website dived into an Olympic swimming pool filled to the brim with burning dumpster slurry! Great comic.
