No worries, sorry it sounded more personal than I intended

What? I'm... not complaining to you? I'm further corroborating why the inbox redesign makes things difficult for users in the thread that is about how the inbox redesign makes things difficult for users. Since you were bringing that up, it seemed like a useful springboard for explaining why it's …

I'd just note that I'm a reader rather than a tapas creator myself, but I still only use view tapas on my laptop, not on my phone, as I like being able to see the comics on a larger screen. And even as a reader, the activity tab is the only tab that I find useful out of these notifications. I want…

Feel free to quote anything you like from my comment!

Also came to the forum to check about this bizarre change. They should at least offer an option to get back the old bell-shaped notification icon that had a drop-down. And while we're talking about this, there was also that recent change that got rid of the old icon for seeing updates to comics, w…

Oh, I do think it makes sense to have an option to have the comments in a sidebar. That would be a very nice feature if it weren't the only way to see the comments. I just find it inconvenient to lose the bottom comments.

If the comments start out minimized, and you click to expand them, the ads are still right there to begin with. Respectfully, I don't understand why this would be a "solution" when there was no problem beforehand. I understand the idea of letting people comment while still reading or while …

Why not just keep the side bar but also allow readers to expand the comments at the bottom? That would provide both kinds of functionality, returning the ability to scroll through comments easily. Substantial comments end up squashed so that they take up many lines, making it much less convenien…

It does look like that, but that's only a single comment, and it never displays more than just the top one there for me.

This isn't working for me. At least, when I click "full" at the bottom of the menu, if I then click "see all," "add a comment," or "comments," it goes out of full screen back to windowed mode, and the comments still appear in the sidebar. But even if it did work, using a fullscreen mode is no…

I'm mostly quite keen on these changes! Any chance of restoring the ability to see who liked which comment? While being able to have comments as a sidebar is nice, could there be an option to display them in the bottom as previously? They end up compressed a bit when they're in the sidebar.

In addition to noticing that I can no longer see who liked which comments, I realized there's no longer a button to downvote (though I'm not sure if that did anything before?). Also, didn't there used to be a way to flag inappropriate comments? I'm not seeing a way to do that anymore. Apologies if…

Ah, I've noticed another change. Comments on comics now always display the date posted. Recent ones no longer display something like "20 minutes ago," or however it was formatted. That was a pretty normal way to display recent comment times, and it's weird that that's gone.

Oh, here's another change, which I don't remember anyone mentioning. When you do bring up the sidebar with the list of episodes (which I really would prefer be visible by default, as before), it doesn't give the date anymore, just the episode number and title. Even for a scheduled comic, it doesn'…

In case this is the better thread for noting issues, here's the bug or feature loss I mentioned from the other thread: I spotted another bug: On an episodes page, when sorted from oldest to newest, if there is a scheduled comic, it displays just like all the other comics, aside from having a fu…

It looks like it's no longer possible to hover over comments' likes and see who liked them. I especially liked being able to see if the author liked a comment. I haven't seen anyone mention this, so that's something else to check on. I'm not sure if this was just a bug, but it's best not to lose …
