Hello there! I am demons-fal, and I'm also new with comics (even though it's been almost a year that I'm doing one lol) ! But it's not the first time that I'm following as much as I can, new stories. So, here's my thought about your comic:
First, I bet you've already got this sort of comment in your comic but... Your art is really pleasant to watch! The colors, the anatomy, the composition are well put in the pages and the simplicity in your characters' design aren't a problem. They're pretty original and well done because we can guess that you've put effort into them! 
For the beginning of your story, it wasn't confusing as you thought it would. It's clear, and we see that you wanted to the comic have a multi-culture because of the drawings of the Onis, dragons (and monsters that I don't know the names but still interested in knowing what are they)... It would give in your comic something more interesting because there are a lot of people who might be interested into myth and like to hear stories about monsters and heroes. That's always great for the readers to learn about real stories that actually happened.
In fact, I've seen in the descriptions that you were thinking it will be way too hard by drawing a lot of difficult and different environment.. But I think that this is how the persons like about your art. You saw that you've got a lot of subscribers in your comic, that's only because they're curious about what you'll say in this comic. If they're not happy about you're doing in your story, that's ok, because you're just a beginner and you have to be proud of what you're doing. 
In my opinion, I think that you should continue the comic as you please. Of course, don't put fan-service stuff for no reason like, a scene about girls who will go to the beach and one of the girls don't have any bra or have a lot of boobs... 
I have never seen the use of this kind of things... BUT!!! You can put cool things that people wanted to see if it's necessary and if it's help to the story. If not, then I hope you won't put some kind of stuff. 
It's just that kind of stuff that I would like for not seeing because... meh.
Then, if your comic start to be really hard for you to continue because of your art and you cannot think thoughtfully in the story, you can ask someone whom you can trust and whom you can do collaborations!
