Well it's bound to happen sooner or later, and so it was for my mini series, Machine

You ever work with something and feel so sure of it that when the story is over you're not sure what the hell to do with yourself? Almost feels empty. My head was so often geared on the next set of interactions and the flow, the pacing of that fictional world. Now everything just seems so slow and open ended by comparison.

Well if you know what it's like to close the doors on a series, leave a link and just talk a little about it. How it was for you and a little bit about the story.

We must salute Shane's now concluded series, for he has put in so much effort into it, and sadly it has now reached its end, just as all comics eventually end. But let us not dwell on the past, let us instead look to the future. It's what Machine would have wanted.

Dude fantastic series, I know it must be bittersweet. I think it ended in a very natural way and everything was nicely concluded and I will always prefer that to when an author decides they want to drag a story on and on in a stubborn unceremonious way.

I hope you were able to get out what you wanted through it.
Btw not sure why, but when Eeple said "I think I like the rain too." that was probably my favorite line hit me right there ya know that place that people feel things in...the liver?

Ending is just the natural way of how a story goes. You should be thrilled to have finished something. Nothing compares to looking back and enjoying what you've accomplished!

Now you can start working on the next thing. It's an opportunity to start fresh, experiment with a different style, tell an even more epic adventure.

It's not done yet, but I know that when I actually finish Time Gate, it's going to leave the biggest void in my life, you don't even know. Besides the fact that it's been a work in progress for 10 years so far and will definitely continue to be a WIP over the next 20+ years, it's the child of my creativity at its best. Thankfully I have a long time with it yet, so I'll enjoy every bit of it, but after it's over and I've closed the book . . . it'll undoubtedly take a long time to get over it u o u

Congrats on finishing your miniseries though! Despite the void it's left, consider it a huge accomplishment; not everyone can say they have a fully completed series under their belt.

Seems like 'congrats' are in order and maybe happy tears? ^^ Finishing- back up- STARTING a comic is a dream many people have and never accomplish- but you did that. So congrats and now you have something tangible and not just characters and plots running around in your head- you took the time and dedication to put them down and share them. Hopefully that's something that fills you with a sense of accomplishment? ^^
Not only do you have this completed work but you have all the experience, skills, and probably muscle memory too to bring to the next project you decide to tackle- ^^

this was a good series

short and easy to digest with cute characters

romantic subtext that didn't come off as too sappy or cringe-y and maintains an innocent nature throughout.

I enjoyed it.
